5.0 x 4.0 x 3.5 cm. Emplectite is an uncommon copper, bismuth sulfosalt and this old-time specimen features metallic, gray needles to 7 mm and microcrystals richly scattered on the quartz-rich sulfide matrix. This is classic old material. The specimen hails from the well-known Pohla-Tellerhauser Mine, near the Type Locality, in Saxony, Germany. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
