5.4 x 5.0 x 4.0 cm. A VERY GEMMY and lustrous, 4.7 cm, bi-colored, pink and green tourmaline interestingly attached to a glassy, translucent, smoky quartz crystal from the famous Little Three Mine. Gemmy and lustrous Little Three tourmalines of this quality are UNCOMMON. Most Little Three tourmalines are deep green and opaque. A very highly representative specimen of these species and locality, even with two repairs. Ex. Kevin Brown Tourmaline Collection.
4.0 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm. A DRAMATIC and AESTHETIC, old-time Himalaya Mine tourmaline specimen. A gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated, 3.5 cm, bi-colored tourmaline is very jauntily attached, like a cannon barrel, to a larger, gemmy, bi-colored tourmaline. The angled gemmy tourmie glows with green and pink color in two of the three UNRETOUCHED backlit photos. Interestingly, the termination of the smaller crystal is matte-black, while the large crystal termination has high lustre. Very nearly pristine, with only slight edge wear on the smaller crystals termination. Shockingly, it is really not repaired at all despite the unlikely odds of such a cluster surviving. From an old European collection.
3.3 x 1.9 x 1.8 cm. From the collection of Marty Zinn, an unusually bright and gemmy (for the Himalaya) terminated pink tourmaline. There is just a bit of edge-wear in one place but as you can see it’s quite good. Weighs 18 grams.
5.0 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm. A TOP GEM tourmaline from Paprok, weighing 11 grams. This superb crystal is DOUBLY-TERMINATED, with a fine termination - bright grass green through the center with a pretty pink termination on top.
5.4 x 4.9 x 0.8 cm. The termination slice from a very large crystal of tourmaline from the Queen Mine. It has a very light, subtle pink core with equally subtle green rind. There is a bit of edge wear. Again, this is not just a slice, but the actual termination of the crystal; ex. Bill Larson, chief miner of California tourmalines for decades.
4.2 x 2.5 x 2.4 cm. A VERY unusual combo specimen from Brazil! What you have is this weird, melty-looking rose quartz, on the side of a euhedral quartz crystal, that has wrapped itself around a crystal of dark green tourmaline! The tourmaline was able to be removed with one of its terminations intact. Unique!
5.5 x 2.4 x 1.9 cm. An incredibly cool specimen from Brazil, where a super-gemmy quartz crystal has wrapped itself around an equally gemmy, in fact gem-grade and cutter quality, tourmaline crystal! When this happens, these typically cannot be removed with terminations intact, but in this case, the most important termination of the tourmaline, sticking up from the top of the quartz termination, IS intact! The clarity of both the quartz and the tourmaline make this really special. There is a smaller crystal in back, also with one termination complete. Collection of French dealer in Brazilian minerals, Michel Jactat.
7.7 x 2.3 x 1.1 cm. This is a complete, terminated, gemmy crystal of tourmaline whose back side is completely blanketed in tan lepidolite crystals, which wrap around the sides so that they frame the crystal as you view it in front! This is an old-timer from Cruzeiro, and really unique-looking with these lepidolites. Weighs 26 grams. Collection of French dealer in Brazilian minerals, Michel Jactat.
4 x 3.1 x 1 cm. An uncommon and aesthetic "flower" of tourmaline, made up of dozens of radiating crystals, from the Golconda Mine.
4.0 x 1.3 x 1.1 cm. A pure gem crystal of tourmaline, bottle-green, from Brazil. This is actually a compound crystal; the thicker partial crystal, attached in back, broke off in the pocket and then healed on top. The other part of the crystal continued to grow, and terminated in a pretty multiple termination. Weighs 9.5 grams.
5.1 x 2.6 x 2.4 cm. An extremely aesthetic specimen with an elegant, slender bottle-green tourmaline crystal rising to a fine termination, decorated around the bottom with albite crystals. A smaller crystal, also terminated, shoots off to the side.
10.6 x 0.6 x 0.6 cm. A flawless, cutter-quality crystal of tourmaline, terminated and with fine luster, from Brazil. This slender, elegant crystal measures over 10 cm! Weighs 8.7 grams.
4.5 x 1.6 x 1.5 cm. A compound crystal of tourmaline, green with a hint of pink, with a complex termination that includes a cluster of smaller crystals. There is some damage on one end of the termination and a couple of tiny edge chips. But the crystal is complete all around and lacks significant damage.
2.5 x 2.2 x 1.3 cm. Two complex compound crystals, with most of the terminations on both ends complete, angling off from one another. Neat thumbnail tourmaline, for the geometry!
4.5 x 4.1 x 2.2 cm. An aesthetic and beautiful jackstraw cluster of multi-hued tourmaline crystals from Stak Nala, Pakistan. The gemmy and lustrous crystals are pastel-blue, pink, colorless, yellow-green and dark green. All of the crystals are pristine and the DT crystal is 3.9 cm. Colors are interesting, geometry mesmerizing.
