3.5 x 2.2 x 2.1 cm. A fine gem tourmaline crystal, of a very dark green color (shot under strong light to show the color), from the Elling Collection. Weighs 32 grams.
3.2 x 0.8 x 0.8 cm. A pure gem crystal of tourmaline, with bottle-green color, from the Pederneira Mine. It is complete all around, lustrous and perfectly terminated. Weighs 4 grams.
7.4 x 2.2 x 1.9 cm. A large, DOUBLY-TERMINATED crystal of pink tourmaline, from the Himalaya. It has the typical translucent-to-transparent clarity for the Himalaya, with intensely saturated pink color. One termination has a bizarre jagged form to it and a natural bend from distortion in the pocket during growth; the other is the typical flat one. There are some accenting lepidolites on the sides of the crystal. This is a BIG one, weighing 58 grams!
3.3 x 2.7 x 2.4 cm. A delightfully bright green, fat crystal of tourmaline from the Golconda mine. It has a perfect, smooth, flat termination on top. There is a hint of pink in the interior of the bottom section. Weighs 35 grams.
4.0 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm. A gemmy, lustrous and pristine, dark indicolite variety of blue elbaite tourmaline with a dark foitite cap. Ex. George Elling Collection. 17.05 carats or 3.4 grams.
6.3 x 0.9 x 0.8 cm. The photo does a good job of showing you the incredible range of colors in this one tourmaline gem crystal. It starts out light pink at the bottom (enclosing a spot of green). Then it turns an extremely gemmy bottle-green color. And the termination is hot pink! There is an area of the termination where it grew against something, but it is natural. The bottom termination is naturally-healed, so this is technically doubly-terminated. Weighs 13 grams.
4.8 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm. An ultra-glassy, gemmy crystal of tourmaline from Virgem da Lapa! It is terminated, complete and undamaged, with high luster. The top section is a frosty, tan/green color. The entire bottom part is top cutter-quality, which the photo shows pretty well. A great crystal, weighing 18 grams.
7.8 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm. This crystal was actually part of a tourmaline lot rescued from the cutters. It is terminated, complete, lustrous, and absolutely glassy-gem clear from top to bottom. Weighs 9 grams.
1.7 x 0.2 x 0.2 cm, 1.5 x 0.2 x 0.2 cm, 1.4 x 0.3 x 0.2 cm, 1.3 x 0.3 x 0.2 cm. Four gemmy, terminated crystals of tourmaline, in a rainbow of colors, from Paprok.
5.1 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm. A classic Himalaya tourmaline crystal. It is DOUBLY-TERMINATED. It has wonderful bright pink color, with good transparency for a Himalaya, grading to a transparent light green on top. This fine crystal weighs 27 grams.
4.8 x 1.2 x 1.2 cm. Can you BELIEVE the intense cranberry color of this tourmaline crystal?! And the bottom of the crystal, which the camera had trouble with, is just as gorgeous, in a different way: it is a light, transparent version of the top, and just glows under decent light. This crystal is technically doubly-terminated: the crystal broke off in the pocket and the broken end healed naturally. A This SPECTACULAR crystal weighs 17 grams.
8.4 x 5.0 x 3.2 cm. Watermelon tourmaline 4.5 cm jauntily placed on the front of a large eosphorite crystal. The blue-green indicolite tourmaline with the pink core is beautiful, in itself. The combination with the well-formed eosphorite is indeed, remarkable.
4.4 x 4.4 x 3.2 cm. A gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, multi-hued green tourmaline with a very gemmy, light purple/lavender termination from Pech, Afghanistan. The pinacoid termination is extremely glassy and the tourmaline is beautifully complimented by the snow-white albite. A very high quality tourmaline from this famous locality, as purple and green tourmalines are not that common.
3.6 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm. A GORGEOUS, CLASSIC, highly gemmy and lustrous, pink and green tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The thin, green zone atop the pink at the highly lustrous, slightly modified, pinacoid termination really adds pizzazz to this classic crystal. Tourmalines like this are what made the Himalaya famous worldwide. The UNRETOUCHED backlit photo highlights the gemminess and intense color saturations. 12 grams.
2.3 x 2.0 x 1.6 cm. A bi-colored, pink and green tourmaline flanked by and coated on the back with needle quartz crystals.
