D06-56 - Silver pseudo. after Dyscrasite - $ 750 SOLD Uranium Mine # 21, Pribram, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic miniature, 4.0 x 3.1 x 1.9 cm ex. Josef Vajdak
A SHARP and unusually thick, large example of this replacement for which Pribram is probably the single most famous locale in the world. The silver has completely replaced the earlier dyscrasite, including a fat, doubly-terminated, 3-cm-long crystal in the center of this nicely-trimmed specimen! OLD MATERIAL from the personal colelction of Pribram specialist Josef Vajdak, with his personal collection label (i.e. not his dealer stock)
D38 - Silver pseudo. after Dyscrasite - $ 300 SOLD Pribram, Bohemia, Czech Republic thumbnail, 2.5 x 2.1 x 1.3 cm ex. Marilyn Dodge
This is really quite a good specimen. To see Silver in such an unusual habit, even knowing that it is a pseudomorph, is eye catching and mind boggling. The luster of the fine Silver crystals is very good. This is an excellent thumb with great aesthetics
ES30 - Silver ps. after Dyscrasite - $ 1750 SOLD Pribram, Czech Republic small cabinet, 9.1 x 8.1 x 4.2 cm ex. Ernie Schlichter
This specimen is from one of Europe’s old and classic ore mines and is unusually large and fine for the material. All around a matrix of massive quartz is a spongy, jackstraw, intergrown crystal growth of silver. The longest crystal spear exceeds 2 cm. The silver has replaced previous crystals of Dyscrasite , and preserved the crystal habit of the former species. THis is unusually large and rich for hte material. The pseudos are also much more uncommon than unaltered Dyscrasite , and have not been found in a long time
JWHITE-22 - Dyscrasite on Arsenic - $ 75 Schneeberg, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany miniature, 3.1 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm ex. John White
Brilliant, silvery-metallic microcrystals of dyscrasite atop a ridge of native arsenic ore. Beautiful under a scope. He purchased this from Walt Lidstrom in 1974 and note the added comment.
LW52 - Silver pseudo. after Dyscrasite - $ 450 SOLD Pribram, Bohemia, Czech Republic miniature, 5.6 x 4 x 3.3 cm ex. Martin Lewadny
Superb and very sharp pseudomorph Silver "needles" up to about 1.8 cm have replaced previous crystals of dyscrasite. The Silver crystals, interspersed throughout the matrix, have survived remarkably well, with little damage, and certainly none to the main crystals. The patina is flat and the color a mottled grey. An excellent specimen, and CLASSIC old european pseudomorph style from this now defunct locality, which was among the pre-eminent silver mining regions of europe for 400 years.
LW57 - Dyscrasite - $ 450 SOLD Shaft 21, Pribram, Bohemia, Czech Republic miniature, 3.7 x 2.8 x 2.7 cm ex. Martin Lewadny
A stunning and sculptural specimen by any standards. The needles and blades of Dyscrasite range up to 2.1 cm long and up to 4 mm wide, have a nice metallic luster, and can be smooth to beautifully striated. The arrangement of the crystals in clusters and on the contrasting matrix gives this an aesthetic appeal that is almost unmatched for sheer dramatic display . You almost never see them on white matrix! These were found in the mid-1980s at this old mining site.
MD-112794 - Dyscrasite, Allemontite - - Archived PÅ™Ãbram, Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Böhmen; Boehmen), Czech Republic thumbnail, 1.5 cm
Razor-sharp dyscrasite crystals to 1.5 cm surmount a mound of allemontite matrix, making this a very displayable miniature. Most in this size are too jumbly, too clunky, or do not have matrix attached. For a display quality of miiature, this one is among the better I have seen for the aestthetics of the crystals upon the natrual pedestal. 5.5 x 4.1 x 3 cm
MD-118191 - Silver, Dyscrasite - - Archived Uranium Mine No. 21, PÅ™Ãbram, Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Böhmen; Boehmen), Czech Republic small cabinet, 5.7 x 4.7 x 3.0 cm.
5.7 x 4.7 x 3.0 cm. An AMAZINGLY sculptural specimen from Pribram. It looks like a piece of art mounted on a custom-make base, but what we have is native silver wires and plates pseudomorphing dyscrasite crystals beautifully set atop banded matrix. A classic, old-time and one of the best pieces from the Josef Vajdak Collection, a Pribram specialist.
MD-140340 - Safflorite, Dyscrasite, Stibarsen - - Archived Uranium Mine No. 21, PÅ™Ãbram, Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Böhmen; Boehmen), Czech Republic cabinet, 11.2 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm.
11.2 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm. Safflorite is an uncommon cobalt iron arsenide. A 1.3 cm curtain of silvery-bright, spongy safflorite microcrystals artfully rests in vuggy matrix with dark gray dyscrasite and etched milky quartz. The CABINET matrix is MOST UNUSUAL and SHOWY, being SOLID banded, botryoidal "allemontite". "Allemontite" is a RARE natural alloy of variable composition of arsenic and antimony. This is a VERY FINE combination piece from Pribram. Ex. Petr Ondrus and Josef Vajdak Collections. Vajdak is a noted Pribram specialist. This is, for what it is, a fine piece, valued by Josef quite highly.

8.7 x 5.7 x 3.2 cm. Sparkly, silvery dyscrasite microcrystals RICHLY cover a matrix of SOLID, mammilary, native arsenic on this HISTORIC old-timer from the famous Samson Mine at St. Andreasberg, Germany. This is a showy and excellent combination piece from this famous mine, which closed in 1910. This old-timer comes from an old European collection, where everything dates to the 1800s. This whole collection had myriad old materials, though I cannot name the owner, and was well known in Europe. Accompanied by an old handwritten German label. Seldom do you see such old pieces this well documented.
