ex. Charlie Key
This remarkable specimen clearly shows embedded crystals of green Cuprosklodowskite altering to Uranophane , yellow and altered by the time it reaches the protected shallow cavity in the center of the piece. Most unusual!
Bright, riveting color makes this piece stand out. The yellow crystals are fibrous/acicular and arranged in radiating aggregates. This is not only a pretty piece, but an extraordinarily significant and rich specimen for the species. It can and should probably be trimmed in half for sale, as each piece would be worth more or less the same with coverage of this quality! This specimen has not been XRAYED but we feel reasonably sure, after consulting with others, about the identity of the species. If anything else, it is something rarer, in any case!

WOW. This small but pristine, 3-D spray is simply the best quality you could imagine, and so metallic in lustre it almost glows! Xls to 1 cm protected in a malachite vug. Ex. Gilbert Gauthier

8.5 x 5.3 x 4.5 cm. STRIKING, EXTREMELY RICH combination piece from the famous Musonoi Mine of lustrous, green, acicular cuprosklodowskite crystals with the RARE, bright, lemon-yellow uranium oxide schoepite and nicely accented with dark green brochantite. Just for the C-sklo, this is a nice showy specimen, but the schoepite association is rare in both its richness and its beauty.
7.5 x 7.5 x 5.0 cm. SCINTILLATING, peacock-green needles of cuprosklodowskite fill veins and vugs on this extremely rich and showy specimen from the famous Musonoi Mine of Zaire. These vibrant green crystals are among the most striking green-colored species in the mineral world and this is a very fine piece from the Bill Pinch Collection.
5.8 x 5.1 x 3.8 cm. SCINTILLATING, peacock-green needles of cuprosklodowskite fill vugs and coat matrix on this extremely rich and showy specimen from the famous Musonoi Mine of Zaire. These vibrant green crystals are among the most striking green-colored species in the mineral world and this is a very fine piece from the Bill Pinch Collection.
8.6 x 5 x 4.7 cm. Visually stunning neon-green needles of Cuprosklodowskite in a pocket a full 3 cm across. The lustrous needles reach up to .8 cm in length, and rim much of the pocket. A terrific small cab. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
5.9 x 3.3 x 2.5 cm. An EXCELLENT and SHOWY combination specimen from the famed Musonoi Mine of Zaire. Lustrous, banded and radiating needles of grass-green cuprosklodowskite RICHLY cover matrix. The accompanying yellow needles are uranophane pseudomorphs after cuprosklodowskite needles! A very uncommon and highly desirable occurrence.
9.7 x 8.6 x 5.7 cm. A pocket of bright neon metallic green crystals of needle-like Cuprosklodowskite in a protected vug. This is an older specimen from the heyday years, featuring larger crystals and slightly deeper color than modern specimens.
12.2 x 8.2 x 6.1 cm. Vandenbrandeite usually occurs as microcrystalline druses, but here we have a large cluster measuring approx 1.7 x 1.5 cm, with eye-visible crystals to 6 or 7 mm in size in a rich aggregate.
4.9 x 4.7 x 3.1 cm. Sharp, flattened crystals of schoepite to 3 or 4mm, perched on contrasting matrix.
12 x 8 x 6 cm. Once in the 1970s this mine produced these incredible "puffballs" of radial Cuprosklodowskite clusters to about 1 cm, dusted with yellow Guilleminite.
6.9 x 6.7 x 2.8 cm. A representative species specimen of cuproskodowskite Cu[(UO2)(SiO2OH)]2 - 6(H2O) and fellow uranium mineral vandenbrandeite Cu(UO2)(OH)4 from the Musonoi Mine. The Bob Byers label accompanying this piece shows it to have been mined in the 60s, and that he acquired it from Bill Pinch.
9 x 6 x 6 cm. A large Cuprosklodowskite vug filled with very well formed dark green Vandenbrandeite crystals. These are dusted over with the rare uranium selenite Guilleminite in good yellow crystals. Such association is not common. Musonoi is the type locality for Guilleminite and in this specimen the crystals are very well formed but under one millimeter.
