A large crystal of feldspar is the matrix for hundreds of bladed, lustrous, translucent, orangy-brown, crystals of childrenite, to 2.0 cm in length. Some of the crystals are doubly terminated and bi-pyramidal.

This matrix specimen has a lot going for it. There are a few super lustrous, almost metallic looking, botryoids, which are the terminal ends of many convergent childrenite crystals. In addition, there are free-standing childrenite crystals and at the very front of the specimen, therefore the best viewing angle, is this exquisite, rosette of bladed, lustrous, translucent, orangy-brown, childrenite crystals. The rosette measures 3.0 cm across. Outstanding!

A cluster of bladed, lustrous, translucent, orangy-brown, childrenite crystals, to 1.5 cm in length, have grown on a colorless, quartz crystal.

Associated with quartz and white albite, are bladed, translucent, lustrous, orangy brown, childrenite crystals, a fairly rare aluminum, iron phosphate. The longest crystal is 1.0 cm and is doubly terminated!

Scattered all over one face of a colorless 10 cm long quartz crystal are translucent are numerous, bladed, lustrous, translucent, crystals of orangy-brown, childrenite. The largest of these is more than 1.5 cm long. And more than a few exhibit bi-pyramidal terminations.

The bulk of this specimen is comprised of the rounded, lustrous, terminal ends of many childrenite crystals. In addition, there are several, bladed, translucent, orangy-brown, childrenite crystals to 1.75 cm long, that stand above the rest of the specimen.

This is another choice miniature. Gemmy, lustrous, colorless, albite crystals, to .5 cm across are the host for a few, bladed, lustrous, translucent, orangy-brown, childrenite crystals, to 2.0 cm in length. The larger childrenite crystals have bi-pyramidal terminations. Very nice!
