16.6 x 13.0 x 3.0 cm. This colorful ore sample highlights the bronze chalcopyrite vein along with the iridescent purplish-blue of Covellite. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
11.2 x 7.7 x 7.0 cm. This is a superb cabinet calcite scalenohedron with a striking chalcopyrite phantom. The pristine, glassy, amber calcite crystal can be rotated 360 degrees atop the galena matrix and the chalcopyrite phantom is very dramatic. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection.
7.8 x 7.2 x 6.2 cm. A very large compound crystal of golden-yellow fluorite from Hardin County, mined in November of 1995 according to the accompanying information. The golden core is wrapped by a pretty purple/blue clear rind. The tiny specks you see are little chalcopyrites embedded in the surface of the fluorite crystal.
11.8 x 4.8 x 2.8 cm. Attractively isolated on a field of dolomite are little crystals of brassy chalcopyrite in association with larger compound pyrite crystals of complex form.
5.6 x 4.9 x 4.6 cm. A fine specimen featuring two doubly-terminated, translucent, golden-yellow calcite crystals set against a matrix covered with small iridescent blue and purple chalcopyrites, on baryte. Ex. Feist Collection.
4.8 x 4.5 x 4.0 cm. An old-time, showy and excellent cluster of lightly iridescent, golden to bronze-colored chalcopyrite crystals from the famous Nababeep West Mine of South Africa’s Okiep Copper District. The sharp, bladed crystals reach 2.0 cm on the sintered quartz matrix. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
3.3 x 3.3 x 3.0 cm. A fine specimen of sparkly, gray acanthite pseudomorphs after platy polysbasite crystals and nicely accented by sparkly, golden chalcopyrite microcrystals from the mines of Guanajuato, Mexico. Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection.
10.5 x 6.9 x 2.9 cm. Lustrous, snow-white, tabular blades of barite beautifully accented by tiny, iridescent, brassy chalcopyrite crystals from the famous Dreislar Mine of Germany.
11.0 x 6.5 x 3.3 cm. Beautiful starbursts of sparkly amethyst crystals are richly scattered on superbly contrasting iridescent chalcopyrite crystals on massive sulfides. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.
24.1 x 18.6 x 12.4 cm. This is a rich, superb old Tri-State specimen. The chert matrix is thickly covered with crystallized sphalerite, actually a deep amber to wine color. On top of the sphalerite are sprinkled hundreds of brassy little triangular crystals of chalcopyrite in an epitaxial (attached) overgrowth. Ex. George Feist Collection.
7.3 x 4.3 x 3.5 cm. The baryte on this gorgeous German specimen has formed a sort of vug, lined with clustered crystals of iridescent chalcopyrite that make this amazing contrast with the stark white blades of the baryte.
4.4 x 3.9 x 2.6 cm. A cluster of Missouri calcite crystals of fine sharpness and luster, with brassy little chalcopyrites on the crystals surfaces, and inclusions of hematite. Ex. William Sanborn Collection.
5.3 x 4.7 x 2.2 cm. A very fine chalcopyrite for the locality, with sharp crystals to over 1 cm perched on crystallized siderite matrix.
5.5 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm. A sharp 9mm twinned crystal of chalcopyrite on matrix - actually quite uncommon for Neudorf.
3.9 x 3.6 x 3.3 cm. A fine and rich silver ore combination specimen from the famous Rayas Mine at Guanajuato, Mexico. Sparkly, golden-yellow bright chalcopyrite microcrystals cover matrix of essentially solid, bladed polybasite. The polybasite blades poking through the chalcopyrite are iridescent and the whole piece is nicely accented by a couple of sharp, gray acanthite crystals. Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection.
