An excellent, undamaged cluster of gemmy and lustrous, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystals on a bit of matrix from Tsumeb. This piece shows well, both horizontally and vertically. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnipeg, Canada. 4.0 x 3.6 x 2.4 cm
An excellent, lustrous and gemmy, V-twinned cerussite crystal with a bit of matrix from Tsumeb. This beautiful piece is complete all-around and has only a miniscule termination bruise, which is hardly noticeable. V-twins were not common from Tsumeb and this is a good one from the Lewadny Collection. 3.1 x 3.0 x 2.7 cm
Good reticulated Cerussites are hard to find, and very desirable. This specimen has good definition and excellent luster. To find one such as this from a location other than Tsumeb makes this a prize. 3 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm
Wulfenite from the Czech Republic is not all that common, but this matrix piece is covered in transparent, tan crystals up to .8 cm across. There are also several gemmy, colorless calcite crystals which reach .5 cm across - cerussite! The matrix is comprised of neotocite, which is a rare manganese – iron silicate. A very rare and probably old specimen. I have never seen one before. 7.8 x 4 x 2.3 cm
A showy specimen of lustrous, glassy, reticulated cerussite crystals on massive cerussite matrix from Tsumeb. 6.0 x 4.4 x 3.5 cm
A lustrous Tsumeb cerussite, well-balanced, with three terminated crystals extending from a reticulated center. 5.3 x 4.9 x 4.1 cm
A gorgeous "snowflake" crystal of cerussite from Tsumeb, showing fine reticulation and superb luster. 3.9 x 3.7 x 2.7cm
From the important find in China of a couple years back, pretty creamy-yellow crystals of cerussite on a contrasting copper-mineral matrix. The crystals are quite lustrous, and measure to around 0.6 cm. 4.6 x 3.4 x 2.8cm
Yes, this WILL fit in a Perky box as a large thumber, and it is a fine, complete Tsumeb cerussite sixling, with fine transparency and luster! It is complete all around, with sharp faces. It is very hard to find this Tsumeb classic in this sort of condition and form, and complete as this one is! 3.1 x 2.5 x 1.5cm
A BEAUTIFUL and aesthetic Tsumeb specimen of a very gemmy, lustrous, undamaged, smoky, reticulated cerussite crystal attached to matrix with nicely contrasting nest of tiny, gemmy, green, cuprian adamite crystals. The terminations are complete around the top and to the backside, though on the backside it is coated. An excellent and uncommon Tsumeb association specimen from teh ROB SMITH personal collection (he is a well known South African dealer). 5.6 x 4.4 x 2.7 cm
This specimen features intricate starbursts of reticulated cerussite, perched gently upon a carpet of solid, sugary, sparkling curprian smithsonite. The color of the smithsonite is intense, set off all the more by the contrasting cerussite! I have never , in all my years of dealing Tsumeby minerla, seen this exact association before. 8.5 x 6.7 x 1.5 cm
A superb reticulated cerussite specimen with a bit of matrix on the back from Tsumeb. This is adramatic piece and is one of the best things we have put in the auctions, period. The cerussite crystals are gemmy, lustrous, colorless, sheet-like blades like bridge girders. VERY, VERY MINIMAL damage to this very fine specimen - much less than typical with such fragile things, please note! There is some damage along one elongated frontal surface and some along the periphery. But, in context, it does not draw the eye. It was almost certainly mined in the late 1960s or early 1970s. It is from the personal mineral collection of South African dealer Rob Smith, which I purchased this summer. Big collection and i simply gotta move some volume... Seriously, though, its a super piece. 5.9 x 3.7 x 3.0 cm
An old Prosper Williams specimen - a complete, gemmy Tsumeb cerussite twin (or "fourling")! It is so gemmy that you can see flashes of spectral colors from the interior. The Prosper Williams label has "rep." pencilled in on it, so this specimen has apparently been repaired. But, you can forgive this for such a fine old Tsumeb piece! 3.0 x 2.6 x 1.7cm
A sharp, slightly smoky crystal of cerussite, with a silky luster. This is a V-twin crystal, but one of the arms of the V is not complete. 3.6 x 2.0 x 0.9cm
A SUPREMELY GLASSY and beautiful, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal from Tsumeb. The face of the large crystal is water-clear, while, end-on, the twinned crystal has sherry or smoky overtones. A couple of super-trivial wilburs and very minor contacting at the base on one side are definitely negligible. Excellent material from the collection of the noted South African collector, Rob Smith. 3.9 x 2.8 x 1.1 cm
