A very choice cluster of lustrous V-twinned, reticulated and bladed cerussite crystals from Tiger, Arizona. Excellent aesthetics with the V-twinned cerussite crystals at the top of this old piece. Most people see a good Mammoth cerussite so rarely that they are simply unaware that there IS even a US locality that produced such fine cerussites! Well, here is a miniature worthy of any collection. 4.7 x 4.2 x 2.8 cm
An excellent Tsumeb combination specimen of highly lustrous, translucent and striated elongated cyclic-twinned cerussite crystals concentrated on one corner of a boxwork of blue-green botryoidal willemite. Cerussite on willemite is not that common from Tsumeb. Old material. 9.4 x 8.0 x 3.9 cm
STUNNING, glassy, gemmy cluster of bright cerussite crystals, in reticulated twins piled one atop another! NICE MINI! 4.5 x 3.1 x 2.7 cm
2.5 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm. A fine, but very strange Tsumeb cerussite thumbnail. I have rarely seen a Tsumeb cerussite with a sharp, pyramidal, mountain-peak-like form, such as this. The lustrous, translucent smoky crystal is complete-all-around and is nicely set on gossan matrix. The crystal is not a six-ling twin.
2.8 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm. An extremely rare and fine cerussite thumbnail from a very uncommon Nevada locale - the Albion Shaft in Eureka County. Two hollow stalactites that look like rabbit’s ears, consist of lustrous, tiny, pastel-pink cerussite platelets. Older material from the Jaime Bird Collection.
8.0 x 3.8 x 2.0 cm. Sharp, glassy, smoky cerussite crystals to 8 mm are nicely scattered on the matrix plate covered with sparkly, knobby, pastel-pink dolomite microcrystals on this fine combination piece from the Tsumeb Mine. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
9.5 x 8.4 x 4.5 cm. A superb, old-time, jackstraw cluster of pearlescent cerussite crystals to at least 3.5 cm piled high on a sturdy gossan matrix from the Flux Mine of Arizona. This is simply an outstanding specimen from this classic locale.
5.1 x 4.3 x 3.0 cm. This specimen is a rare lemon yellow anglesite cluster, which came out mostly (so far as I know) in the 1970s and early 1980s and not much since. Not only does it have beautiful, gemmy, translucent anglesites to 3 cm in rich growth, but there is something very rare in association - little brown, gemmy cerussites. From an old collection in Europe.
5.0 x 3.1 x 1.6 cm. A fine Tsumeb plate richly covered with scintillating botryoids of intergrown brown to gray willemite microcrystals. This is high quality willemite from this renowned locale, as most willemite from Tsumeb does not have this sparkling lustre. There is even a single cerussite crystal as a nice accent.
4.2 x 4.0 x 2.3 cm. A classic, glassy, smoky, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal from the Tsumeb Mine. This aesthetic, lustrous specimen has beautiful symmetry. This is an excellent, highly representative example of the varietal and locale.
A sharp, smoky-colored cerussite twin from Tsumeb (half a sixling, in fact). The crystal shows fine transparency, and is complete on both sides. There are a few very minor dings along the top, but the terminations are complete. 4.2 x 3.2 x 1.2 cm
4.4 x 2.5 x 1.2 cm. Lustrous, glassy, intergrown, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal clusters form an excellent miniature from the Tsumeb Mine. This is an interesting, floater specimen, which is nicely accented with complimentary green duftite. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection and dates to the 1960s or early 1970s, when he worked for Hamel Mining & Minerals.
A SUPERB, highly lustrous, transparent to translucent, bladed cyclic-twinned cerussite crystal with very interesting growth faces from Tsumeb. This is an excellent example of Tsumeb cerussite and you have to look hard to see the one very trivial bruise on a blade termination. Contacted on the bottom only. The gemmyness and lustre are outstanding. 5.8 x 3.8 x 3.4 cm
2.5 x 2.4 x 2.1 cm. A sharp, 3-D hedgehog of reticulated cerussite collected by Wayne Thompson in the 1970s. Classic material. Ex. Laura and Stevia Thompson Collection.
A gemmy, clear rectangular crystal of cerussite from Tsumeb, a superb thumbnail for what it is. There is a small contact on one edge near the top, but as you can see it does not detract much at all. Tsumeb cerussites of this form and gemminess are quite uncommon. 2.5 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm
