3.5 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm. Chatoyant, lustrous and sharp, primary malachite crystals are very aesthetically set on contrasting calcite matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the famous Emke Mine at Onganja, Namibia.
9.6 x 5.9 x 5.6 cm. If you flip this stalactite upside down, you can see a thin, round tube running right up through the middle -- the "core" of the stalactite, around which these sharp, translucent crystals grew into a beautiful tower of crystals, in beautiful condition.
10.4 x 9.9 x 7.4 cm. This is a large cluster of calcite crystals of really bizarre form - multiply-terminated and with pretty terracing on their side faces. You can see a hint of orangey color from hematite inclusions. Fine luster and overall pretty form.
6.9 x 4.5 x 4.2 cm. A glowing, amber-colored calcite crystal with stepped secondary crystals growing right up its sides. Ex. George Feist Collection.
8.2 x 3.1 x 1.4 cm. A stunning silky, wonderfully symmetrical twinned crystal of calcite from Dalnegorsk, with the twinning plane running right up the middle and the reentrant clearly visible at the termination.
4.4 x 4.2 x 2.9 cm. A rare Mexican example of copper included inside a crystal of calcite. Although most faces are admittedly cleaved - this is a locality piece of some interest from a historic find. If you look down into the crystal, you can see the bright copper along the surface of the matrix.
15.4 x 10.4 x 5.5 cm. A large specimen of calcite richly covered with small green velvety clusters of mottramite, with a sprinkling of little deep green dioptase crystals. The overall contrast is very attractive. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
5.4 x 2.4 x 1.5 cm. These dioptase crystals show fine color and luster, but what really makes this piece is their backdrop of dove-grey calcite. There are crystals wrapped all the way around this specimen, as there were pockets on either side of this ridge of matrix.
9.5 x 6.9 x 5.4 cm. A light amber-colored, gemmy calcite twin of 7 cm is nestled amongst a mass of smaller calcites.
8.4 x 7.9 x 5.8 cm. From the collection of Dave Stoudt, a fine specimen of arborescent calcite, looking like a branching plant.
5.0 x 2.6 x 2.2 cm. Two gemmy, sharp, highly lustrous, blood-red cuprite crystals to 1.0 cm set on a wing-like sliver of massive cuprite and nicely accented by chatoyant malachite and calcite from the Tsumeb Mine. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
4.3 x 4.0 x 4.0 cm. A 2.0 cm, very gemmy and lustrous emerald crystal with gorgeous, green color saturation. The emerald is well-placed in calcite matrix and is further accented by two, smaller emeralds. The color saturation, gemminess and lustre are definitely above average for Coscuez emeralds of this size.
17.5 x 11.5 x 11.5 cm. Sharp, silky, translucent crystals of calcite, compound crystals with multiple terminations at each end, have grown right on top of a cluster of glassy, lustrous deep purple amethyst. The calcite measures 12 cm across.
11.6 x 10.6 x 8.9 cm. A dramatic specimen from this really unusual find of three years ago, where golden pyrite formed along the edges of very large crystals of translucent calcite. This one has really nice coverage on the edges, and is a large and rich example from the find.
10.3 x 9.6 x 3.9 cm. This is a thin plate of pea-green prehnite on which have grown half-a-dozen translucent calcites with a beautiful silky luster.
