A SUPERB and DRAMATIC Indian specimen of a LARGE, golden-yellow fluorite ball with a very glassy, striated, tan calcite rhomb jauntily attached to one side on a bed of quartz crystals. This is one of the most outstanding Mahodari Quarry fluorite combos, that I have seen. 9.1 x 7.0 x 5.5 cm
Gemmy fluorite crystals with glass-clear interiors, selectively coated on some faces with (and sitting on) frosty calcite microcrystals. Pretty! 4.1 x 2.4 x 2.6 cm
Two super-sharp rhombs of lustrous calcite, to 1.5 cm, on a plate of sparkly dolomite which is actually a cast of the (formerly) underlying matrix. 7.1 x 4.7 x 1.9 cm
Gemmy, silky crystals of calcite on salmon-colored dolomite, recently mined in Arkansas. The light-golden calcites are nicely transparent, lustrous, and measure to 3 cm. 17.0 x 6.3 x 2.8 cm
This is a HUGE crystal of golden calcite, an old tri-state classic. Remarkably for its size, it is DAMAGE-FREE, and has a fine, sharp termination. The bottom is the flat cleavage plane where it was removed from the matrix. It sits right up, and in fact the prior owner applied two pieces of felt to the cleavage face and just let it sit like that. VERY impressive! these are old, from the 1940s thru 60s, and in this size and condition hard to get now 20.2 x 12.8 x 10.7 cm
This fascinating specimen formed when gemmy calcite crystals grew in the natural pocket formed by a buried fossil clamshell. The interior of the shell is now completely covered with these fine, golden crystals. This is a LARGE and very complete example, with two "windows" so you can see into the crystal-filled interior from either side! One of the best we have seen of these. . . 13.0 x 10.6 x 5.0 cm
This fascinating specimen formed when gemmy calcite crystals grew in the natural pocket formed by a buried fossil clamshell. This one is distinguised in that most of the shell is now gone, so what you are left with is this very pretty cluster of lustrous, gemmy calcite crystals, sitting up aesthetically on a shell conglomerate matrix, and complete all around! This is a very fine calcite specimen even disregarding its interesting means of formation! 4.4 x 4.1 x 2.8 cm
Just beautiful - little milky dogtooth calcites, sprinkled on a cluster of striated crystals of brassy pyrite. Another fine Eastern Euro specimen! 7.4 x 4.7 x 4.0 cm
Nature sometimes provides us with exquisite glimpses into the phases of growth of mineral pockets! In this case, colorless, transparent, lustrous, rhombs of calcite, to .8 cm across, have formed around a single sphere or botryoid of rich, green malachite, measuring 2.0 cm across. In fact the calcite rhombs nearest the malachite are partially invested with lighter green malachite inclusions. Truly a little gem! 5.0 x 4.6 x 3.7 cm
Neatly perched on a matrix of white, botryoidal calcite is a cluster of dark gray, matte luster, crystals of acanthite after argentite. The largest cube measures .45 cm across. The label on the back side of this specimen indicates that it was mined in 1892. It later entered the collection of the University of Chicago, in 1964. It is a super locality piece because acanthites on such matrix are rare, but the dated label is surely a bonus and gives solid locality designation as well! 6.2 x 5.4 x 5.3 cm
Sky blue tufts of acicular aurichalcite on limonite are in turn covered by a .2 cm thick, glassy coating of calcite. This has turned the underlying aurichalcite color to a rich sea foam. This is an extremely aesthetic specimen. INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON, like a wave of artificial neon blue color! 7.3 x 4.9 x 3.6 cm
You could not ask for a much more aesthetic specimen of this classic Minerva Mine combo. Two golden calcite crystals shoot from the top of a sharply zoned purple fluorite (complete all the way around, and accented with additional calcites). 7.5 x 4.5 x 2.2 cm
What a dazzling new discovery! On selective edges of the calcite crystals on this large cluster is bright, golden pyrite - even brighter and more amazing than the pics show! The result is so dramatic and eye-catching! Got these about a month ago from a close and good contact in China who brings us now and then wonderful new things that have not been seen yet....these are SO pretty, in person. We have the best of the lot so far, and are waiting to see if more come! Presented in this update are the three best so far . . . 16.5 x 9 x 5 cm

Presented in this update are the three best so far . . . this one does not have as dense a covering of pyrite, but makes up for it in size and brightness of crystals – for someone who likes BIG specimens. 18.5 x 12 x 5 cm
Extremely gemmy and lustrous crystals, gorgeous bright pink, a KILLER in a “cute” size range! This rounded knoll of cmatrix, covered by gemmy, deep pink crystals, is one of the brightest crystallized calcites I have yet seen from the find. 4 x 3 x 2 cm
