Just look at this glowing, golden GEMMY crystal of calcite sitting right in the middle of the matrix, dramatically isolated! The calcite measures 3.5 cm. An exceptional Oklahoma calcite specimen! 12.1 x 11.1 x 5.9cm
This is a large, rounded cluster of calcite crystals from the classic Egremont locality. There are a few small cleaves and dings, but overall the specimen is in good shape. The crystals richly cover the entire dome-shaped matrix! 10.7 x 8.5 x 5.4cm
I do not know whether to call this calcite on mimetite or mimetite on calcite. Whatever the case - what you have here are intergrown rhombs of calcite and balls of yellow mimetite! You can see the rust-hued accents from the limonite as well. A fascinating old Santa Eulalia combo specimen! 7.9 x 4.4 x 3.4cm
Two-sided specimen of gemmy canary-yellow ettringite crystals to 7 mm nicely scattered as isolated crystals and in groups on sparkly, drusy calcite from the famous Nchwaning Mine of South Africa. 9.6 x 4.8 x 4.0 cm
The old Silver mines at Kongsberg operated for over 300 years and produced well over 1 million kilograms of Silver during that time ! This old specimen features some small wires of Silver sitting in Calcite matrix. A great old Kongsberg classic. 7.7 x 4.0 x 1.9cm
Fine, sharp, lustrous, gemmy rich golden color crystals on flattened disc shaped grey color Calcite rhombohedra. There is a little damage to the specimen, but the crystals are still very good color and and highly lustrous. 8.8 x 7.5 x 4.1cm
It is sad to hear that the supply of these gorgeous calcite flowers from Eastern Europe is drying up. Our contact who buys over there told us that these great Romanian calcites are just about finished. These have to be amongst the prettiest calcites around. This one has two intergrown rosettes, stunning with lustre and sparkle, on a carefully trimmed matrix accented with siderite crystals. Perfect size and form, gorgeous aesthetics, just a really beautiful mineral specimen. 6.5 x 5 x 3.75 cm
A SUPERB and AESTHETIC, highly striated, bright brass-yellow pyrite cube nicely perched on calcite matrix from the famous Quiruvilca Mine of Peru. The pyrite crystal is contacted on the back, but is mostly out of sight. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 3.4 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm
This is a fascinating and very unusual Dalnegorsk specimen. What you have is a doubly-terminated calcite crystal measuring 3 cm, with a terminated scalenohedral crystal (a totally different form!) running right through its middle! This gemmy crystal sits on a plate of calcite rhombs (a 3rd form!). And to top it off, inside the gemmy calcite are rich inclusions of an unidentified hair-like mineral. 4.9 x 4.7 x 2.4cm
What a STUNNING mineral specimen, and quite rare - in fact, I have not seen this material before! The specimen features sharp, translucent poker-chip crystals of calcite, in pristine condition, standing up on a matrix of irridescent chalcopyrite sparkling with beautiful golds and reds! 8.1 x 7.3 x 4.9cm
A very showy cluster of lustrous and translucent, pastel-green, cuprian calcite rhombs from the recent finds at the Shuikoushan Mine in Hunan, China. This uncommon and fine material has nicely stepped calcite faces. No damage to the central, main part of the specimen. Just a bit of periphery damage. 7.0 x 6.0 x 3.7 cm
Another very unique Bor Pit calcite, from recent mining that turned up some really unusual calcite specimens. This is a fine example of what has been called "mushroom" calcite, with two poker-chip style calcites growing on a scalenohedral "base" - one on the termination, one just beneath it. 6.6 x 3.1 x 2.2cm
Atop a translucent partial calcite crystal sits a knob of calcite inside which you can see a rich inclusion of penny-bright copper. This is an old Michigan specimen. 6.0 x 5.5 x 4.4cm
Glowing, translucent octahedrons of green fluorite on an earlier generation of dark fluorite - and a scattering of dove-gray nailhead calcites. 10.4 x 7.2 x 5.0cm
A pretty “bloom” of gemmy calcites from Dalnegorsk. A bit of unobtrusive wear on some terminations explains the low price, so you can get a showy and beautiful miniature for cheap! 5 x 4 x 3.4 cm
