A superb, richly colored specimen with large and complete replacement of calcite crystals by rhodochrosite. This is an unusually fine example of this rare, old material. It is gorgeous! 5 x 4.9 x 2 cm
One of the most fervently treasured of all German classics are these metallic, carved-looking galenas from the Harz, circa the mid-1800's. The best of them have contrasting association with siderite. This one, as well, has calcite for further accent - I have never seen before! It is a very attractive specimen, and has excellent quality 2 cm crystals on the front display, balanced above the contrasting carbonates. It is contacted on the sides and back, but the display face is so good. I have seen very few for sale in recent years, and they tend to be extremely expensive - I saw dribs and drabs of half the quality for twice the price in Munich on the European market where they are so highly valued, in fact. 7 x 5.3 x 3 cm
This magnificent, GEM twin of calcite is complete all around, 360 degrees, and free of damage. It is extremely sharp with no wear or water-smoothing which you sometimes see on the edges of these classic twins. They came ou in the early 90s from this garnet mining town, and haven't come out since. I have seen small ones on the market here and there, but few of this calibre turn up for sale in some time. The crystal is so clear and gemmy you can look through tot eh matrix underneath! It has excellent, bright color as well as top lustre (some are more pale and dull in lustre) 7.2 x 5.1 x 4.4 cm
Quite simply the most intense neon pink-red cobaltian calcite i have ever seen, from ANYwhere...I couldn't believe the stuff was real. The crystals are to almost 1 centimeter in size, and pseudocubic, packed together to form a solid , translucent, layer over the matrix. This seems to be the highest quality cobaltian calcite yet from small pockets trickling out over the last few years here. 7.4 x 4.8 x 3 cm

A pristine cube of gemmy, super-lustrous calcite, still nestled in its snowy, sparkly vug! This superb crystal measures 3 cm in each direction. It could not be more perfectly situation to create a striking specimen! What a beautiful job of trimming to create a dazzling setting for a remarkable calcite crystal! 11.5 x 8 x 7.5 cm
These fine Iowa calcites showing complex form are EXCEEDINGLY difficult to obtain – and this is a very large and fine one! The silky rhombs measure to 3 cm across. Collected in the 1960s , I am told. 16.5 x 16 x 4.5 cm
Major, superb Elmwood pieces such as this, in great condition, are just vanishingly rare now, since the closing of the mine and the grabbing of available specimens that followed it. Most are holding on to pieces like this with the expectation of their rising much further in value. After all, Elmood calcites are among the world’s most beautiful, certainly, even if their good availability caused them to be taken for granted more than they should have (like Illinois fluorites, for example). This compound crystal is not only huge, but it has a whole SERIES of sharp terminations on the display end. More importantly, considering that 90% of large calcites from the Elmwood have tip damage, this specimen is in amazing condition. You have to really look to find a tiny bit of wear on a couple of the terminations! And, look at the stunning form of the crystal and attached matrix, really just about perfect for dramatic display quality. Wow! We will provide a custom lucite base for this specimen. 22 x 14 x 7.5 cm
A striking cluster of four calcite stalactites covered with sparkly quartz crystals, from a recently-discovered pocket in India. One of them actually bends over like a bent finger. Can be displayed from any number of directions. Prettier in person! 10 x 6.5 x 4.5 cm
The micro-stepped faces of these large green, translucent calcite crystals (to 4.5 cm) causes them to absolutely SHIMMER! The crystals look as thought they are made up of hundreds of very thin, stacked layers. Beautiful! It is not yet sure what causes the color but this find IS quite novel for the region, and for anywhere. 14 x 16 x 4.5 cm
An extremely aesthetic, large and impressive specimen consisting of a very big, sharp and geometric compound crystal of calcite, perfectly centered on a matrix with accenting needles of quartz. The crystal is in superb condition, with no damage at all – quite remarkable for a specimen this size. Unusual for the locale, too! 12 x 10 x 5.8 cm
A superb, glowing 5-cm calcite crystal, starkly isolated and centered on the matrix. This large crystal is unusually gemmy for the locality. It is complete and undamaged all the way around, and exposed on all sides. 12 x 9 x 6.2 cm
YES, this specimen really is as beautiful as the pics show! A PRISTINE, GEMMY rhomb of calcite just GLOWING on a perfectly-trimmed matrix with accenting pretty green Mottramite . This is just a superb Tsumeb specimen all around. 4 x 4 x 2 cm
Dioptase, crowned by a fine crystal measuring 1.6 cm! Some of the crystals sit on a bed of bright dioptase microcrystals, others on the contrasting white calcite. 5 x 3.4 x 3.2 cm
Very attractive and elegant combo!. 2.5 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm
