A large , lustrous and translucent, light pink, 9 cm-long danburite crystal is nearly covered by scalenohedrons of lustrous and translucent, yyellow-amber-colored calcite crystals to 2.6 cm in length. There are even a few crystals of glassy and gemmy gypsum to 1.5 cm across. The calcite crystals fluoresce a rich orangey purple color. Overall, a very unusual and dramatic combination piece!

A cluster of long prismatic , lustrous crystals of quartz, to 5 cm in length, have been heavily included by chlorite, thus rendering the crystals a deep olive-green color. The back side of the specimen is covered by lustrous , white, calcite crystals, to 1 cm across. Great color contrast, and as a bonus the calcite fluoresces a purple orange.

A superb calcite for this classic locale, with unusually large and sharp crystals showing phantoms inside. Emplaced in of a vug of hard gossan matrix are rhombohedrons, to 3.3 cm across, of lustrous and translucent calcite. The calcite rhombs are arranged in a step growth pattern , very dramatically

An outstanding galena specimen from this very classic locale, where galena was common but specimens such as this level, were never common. Large, well formed, cubeoctahedrons of galena, to 4 cm across , are associated with scalenohedrons of lustrous and translucent, milky white crystals of calcite to 1.8 cm in length. The calcite fluoresces a brilliant, rich orange color. We have had galenas of such size and style before, but the settign against white, crystallized calcite matrix is just much more special! Super combo specimen!

This specimen features lustrous and translucent, tan colored crystals. One is a twinned , sharp crystal of 3.5 cm in length, right in front, of unusual habit.

This matrix calcite specimen exhibits the classic "poker chip" habit for which this locality is justly famous. Tabular and rounded, lustrous and translucent, milky white crystals of calcite to 5 5 cm across exhibit parallel growth. Very minor contact at the terminal edges of a small crystal and a large crystal are insignificant as the piece is otherwise complete all around, and very aesthetic for the size

Glassy and gemmy cubes of pastel-green fluorite, to 2 cm across are wreathed by a druse of sparkling, white calcite. Rising from the back of the specimen is a lustrous and translucent white calcite crystal, measuring 2 cm in length. The calcite fluoresces a vivid, bright orange and the fluorite, a rich, deep purple. Gorgeous, and really elegant, this is a miniature of rare quality even from this mine which once produced specimens by the thousands

On a sulfide matrix are perched glassy and gemmy, pastel-green fluorite crystals to 2 cm across. Associated with the fluorite is a druse of white calcite. The calcite fluoresces a vivid orange and the fluorite a rich purple.

This is a cluster of unusually prismatic, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent crystals of calcite to 3.5 cm in length, intergrown into a radial spray. The crystals fluoresce a bright, vivid orange (due to manganese inclusions). Neat and unusual for the locale

A superb, doubly terminated, tabular, crystal that measures 9.8 cm across, this is glassy and gemmy. The colorless gypsum is elegantly arranged on a matrix of drusy , sparkling calcite as if on a pedestal - you could not ask for more perfect placement. Despite its softness this piece is nearly pristine, with only the most trivial wear. The totally clear and limpid gypsum crystal is offset even more under fluorescence whre the calcite is imparted with a brown hue and the gypsum transmits the UV light. Simply wonderful!

Remarkably, looking like a pincushion, this cluster of well formed calcite scalenohedrons has an earthy color but still somehow is one of the most dramatic calcites I have seen from here. The crystals, to nearly 2 inches in size, are SHARP and look carved and polished, almost, very lustrous with a dark tan color. On the underside of some of the lower crystals, a second generation of caclcite has formed. Considering how soft calcite is and the sheer number of crystal terminations, the fact that this specimen is absolutely pristine is amazing. I have seen smaller examples of this habit occasionally, but none this size and impact

Nestled aesthetically in a vug of ocherous limonite, are calcite crystals heavily included by aurichalcite which gives them a superb, light teal-blue color. These are covered by a second generation of lustrous and translucent, colorless calcite, in crystals to 1.5 cm in length. In places on the limonite, are drusy clusters of lustrous and translucent, apple green conichalcite. Overall just a gorgeous piece with lots of subtle colors and color mixes. It has a small bit of damage, to a few peripheral crystals, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Unusual!

A very geometrc specimen with several stout, twinned rhombohedrons of calcite, to 5.7 cm across. They are perched aesthetically, on a small amount of sphalerite. The calcite crystals are lustrous and translucent at the edges with a frosted colorless appearance. In fact the frosting is a later generation of gemmier calcite overgrowth on earlier formed calcite. The calcite glows a bright, vivid orange under a fluorescent light. Superb, and very classic in form for older finds here!

This cluster of tabular, lustrous and translucent, slightly manganoan-pink, rhombohedral calcites, to 4.5 cm in length, has formed a penetration twin. The specimen is SUPER fluorescent with a magnificent, bright orange color under UV. Absolutely pristine and quite unusual for its sharpness, this is a floater specimen

Two danburite crystals, to 8 cm in length, are the host for two, doubly-terminated, lustrous and translucent calcite crystals to 5 cm in length. The larger danburite crystal is glassy , with a super gemmy brightness and luster to it! The calcites present from the front, complete, though they have some portions missing or contacted on the backside. An excellent, rare combination piece.
