10.8 x 7 x 3.5 cm. A lovely, highly fluorescent specimen of translucent pink manganoan calcite. The manganoan calcite is in two generations, the second of which consists of four spherical clusters of crystals, the largest of which is 3 cm. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
9.2 x 5.5 x 4 cm. Sharp Calcite crystals on matrix. The largest is 3 cm on edge, and all exhibit interesting habit. Each crystal is a modified rhomb, blocky in nature with modified edges and faces. Each is partially gemmy and has a wonderful orange fluorescence. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
7 x 3.4 x 2.2 cm. A fine example of the pink Olmiites. The rounded aggregate spheres of crystals have superb luster, and the largest is 2.4 cm across. What separates this Olmiite from many others, in addition to the great luster, is the bed of Calcite gem crystals that it rests on. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
9 x 4.5 x 4 cm. Beautiful rich-pink manganoan calcite with an unusual organic-like habit. This crystal form ends up with a stalactitic look, and the crystals have good coverage over the specimen. Excellent fluorescence. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
14 x 13.8 x 4 cm. A fine combination piece of very rare Kalahari fields Galena, with lustrous Chalcopyrite, and sharp, fluorescent Calcites. The most massive Galena cluster, mixed with Chalcopyrite, is about 2 cm across. There is also Galena interspersed throughout the specimen. According to Charlie, only 5-6 galenas have been found in the Kalahari fields, so far as he knows. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
3.2 x 2.8 x 1.6 cm. A fine fish-tail twin of perfectly gemmy Calcite from the Wessels Mine. The crystal is doubly-terminated, one end being the fish-tail and the other a beautiful, complex termination. This Calcite also has two phantoms. Ex. Charlie Key Collection.
This remarkable, exceptionally large twinned crystal is almost a doubly-terminated floater, save for a small contact on one end (the right tip as displayed here). It is gemmy, and transparent throughout. The upper or leftmost termination as shown is wonderfully bevelled and complete. It has one repair about 4 cm in from the full termination , but the repair is fairly clean and when you display the piece is not noticeable except on inspection from behind. 11 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm
4.6 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm. This is a fine crystal for the locality for symmetry and gemminess. It is doubly-terminated, and clings to the thin galena crystal which acts as a natural pedestal. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
6.8 x 5.1 x 4.1 cm. Beautiful, candy-red crystals of vanadinite set against minute calcites, from this unusual locality. Quite characteristic in style. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
4.7 x 3.6 x 3.2 cm. Powder-blue spherical aggregates of light blue aurichalcite, mixed with stark white bladed calcite crystals. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
4.4 x 4.1 x 2.5 cm. An interesting calcite specimen with a creeping ivy-like growth of native copper attached to it, perched gently atop. Classic and very fine Bisbee miniature. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
6.5 x 4.2 x 2.3 cm. Beautiful, fuzzy and velvety malachite in a natural pocket, with accent of calcite. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
8.4 x 8.3 x 6.7 cm. A classic vanadinite from this locality, with super 3-dimensionality overall. The matrix is host to bright red vanadinites to 3 or 4 mm, and stark white calcite crystals. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
12.0 x 9.7 x 4.3 cm. Harold collected this in 1965 on some of the still-accessible portions of the old Tri-State District mining areas. It has shapr, pyramid-looking crystals of chalcopyrite to about 7mm, perched on pastel pink, curving dolomite crystals. Fine calcite crystals are on the back of the plate. This is classic for the district. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
14.0 x 10.9 x 5.2 cm. An attractive cabinet calcite specimen from recent finds at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals are partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal hematite phantoms. Crystals reach 4.0 cm on this piece.
