MD-18494 - Brandtite - - Archived Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey, USA cabinet, 11 x 5.5 x 3 cm
A HUGE and especially rich specimen of brandtite, significant for the size overall (I couldn't bring myself to trim in half...though each half is probably worth the same!). In person, the whole front face sparkles with hundreds of flat-laying, acicular crystals of bright white brandtite! 11 x 5.5 x 3 cm
MD-18497 - Brandtite - - Archived Fuchs Quarry, Hartkoppe Mt., Sailauf, Hösbach, Spessart Mts, Franconia, Bavaria, Germany miniature, 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.75 cm
An exceptional and rich miniature-sized specimen from a find considered to have produced some of the best of species, in the mid-1980s in Germany. The crystals are in sharp, lustrous clusters 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.75 cm
MD-266924 - Brandtite - - Archived Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey, USA miniature, 3.9 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm.
3.9 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm. Brandtite is a fairly rare hydrated arsenate that is only found in a little over a dozen world localities. This piece features dozens of classic, small (approx 0.5 mm), sharp, gemmy, lustrous, colorless, prismatic crystals of Brandtite on matrix. Brandtite is one of the more highly sought after species for Franklin collectors, and good specimens are few and far between on the market these days.
