Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) from Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan [db_pics/mdpics/MD-40317a.jpg]

A clear gem aquamarine crystal, sceptered, with a tiered termination on top - looks a little scratchy for some reason in the pics but it is NOT - it is very clear and gemmy, with lustrous faces. 3.3 x 1 x .8 cm

Tourmaline, Beryl (Var: Morganite) from Konar (Kunar; Konarh; Konarha; Nuristan) Province, Afghanistan [db_pics/mdpics/MD-40362a.jpg]

This specimen features a fine 5.5-cm tourmaline crystal, terminated , nestled within a morganite crystal that has grown around it like a tree around a fencepost! The morganite crystal is itself a euhedral crystal, showing nice faces on the display side (the back and side are contacts), though the back is broken off. It presents dramatically! What a superb contrast between the pastel green and pink, and what a noteworthy and unique gem crystal combo specimen! It is a rare, and pretty, combination! 6.7 x 4.8 x 4.4 cm

Beryl, Beryl (Var: Goshenite) from Mt Antero, Chaffee Co., Colorado, USA [db_pics/mdpics/MD-40491a.jpg]

An excellent 3-piece deal of pristine, gemmy, lustrous, water-clear to lightly-included, coloress goshenite beryl crystals from Mt. Antero, Colorado. All three crystals have sharp terminations. Ed Ruggiero self-collected these in June, 1975 3 pieces - 1 miniature & 2 thumbnails 4.0 x 0.6 x 0.5 cm (longest)

Beryl (Var: Aquamarine), Schorl, Albite (Var: Cleavelandite) from Skardu Road, Skardu District, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan [db_pics/mdpics/MD-40501a.jpg]

An EXQUISITE combination toenail specimen of a gemmy, lustrous, 1.2 cm aquamarine crystals aesthetically attached to two lustrous, schorl crystals partially covered with cleavelandite. A slightly bruised aqua termination is barely noticeable and is certainly not detracting. 2.9 x 1.8 x 1.4 cm

Granted, it is no competition for an aqua from Minas Gerais, but these old Idaho specimens are infinitely harder to obtain! You just do not see them around on the market. The opaque or slightly translucent crystal measure up to about 2.5 cm and is on matrix (which is rare). Ex. Geary Murdock Collection 3.3 x 3.1 x 2.4 cm

A HUGE, impressive plate of aquamarine crystals, with perhaps FOUR DOZEN crystals on it (!), ranging in size from quite small to over 2 cm in length. The crystals are set amongst bladed muscovites. All of the aquas are nicely terminated, with lustrous, glassy terminations. The color the crystals is a very pleasing pastel blue. This is certainly quite a showpiece! i just bought this from peshawar by email and wire transfer. its rough around the edges where they sawed it out, and a few cuts remain. 24.5 x 11 x 9.3

Look at the very unusual, wavy faces on this gem tourmaline, from natural etching in the pocket! It looks like some sort of art glass, and makes this crystal really unique. The crystal is well-terminated, completely gemmy, and weighs 5.6 grams. 2.8 x 1.1 x 0.8cm

Red beryls have become ridiculously expensive and hard to obtain. We found this one at a recent show at a less than ridiculous price, so we jumped on it. It measures 1.1 cm in length, with good deep red/pink color. Both terminations are intact and partially exposed. 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.7cm

Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) from Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan [db_pics/mdpics/MD-41496a.jpg]

This is a VERY unusual aquamarine crystal. On first glance it seems to be a more of a shape of a parallelogram, with four sides, but then you look closely and see what appear to be bevels on two corners which are the fifth and sixth faces, to make the hexagonal form. Even without this distinction, it is a fine, gemmy, DOUBLY-TERMINATED crystal. 3.1 x 0.7 x 0.5cm

This stunning combination specimen features blue-green indicolites perhced on the side, and ingrown into, a gemmy pink morganite crysatl! It is a really beautiful and unusual combination the likes of which I cannot recall seeing 4.4 x 3.5 x 1.7 cm

A gemmy, beautiful 6 x 3 x 2.6 cm crystal, perched on just the right amount of matrix! It is partially doubly-terminated on the bottom, as well. For somebody who wants a really gemmy, really impressive aqua with matrix and does not want to break the bank, this is a special piece. 7.5 x 6.1 x 5.5 cm
