7.4 x 4.6 x 3.3 cm. Gemmy and lustrous emerald crystals are nicely placed on sparkly biotite schist matrix of this classic, old-time specimen from the Habach Valley of Austria. The large crystal is 1.5 cm, terminated and pristine. The emeralds have good color saturation. Collected in the 1800s or very early 1900s. Ex. Edna Doughty and Richard Hauck Collections.
3.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm. A doubly-terminated floater crystal of gemmy aquamarine from Pakistan, with accenting attachments of muscovite. One termination is the typical flat, glassy type, the other appears in part to have broken off in the pocket and then naturally healed. The crystal is glass-clear through the center. Weighs 32 grams.
5.0 x 2.3 x 1.4 cm. This is a complete, doubly-terminated floater of aquamarine from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. You can see a bit of the (complete) bottom termination peeking through the matrix attachment. It weighs 16 grams.
5.4 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm. A pure gem crystal of aquamarine from Brazil, terminated on top, with shimmering, silky side faces. It is absolutely flawless through the center. Weighs 7 grams. Ex. Norm Dawson collection.
5.3 x 4.4 x 3.9 cm - 2.1 x 1.1 x 0.6 cm. This is a lot of fine, pure gem morganite cutting rough from the personal collection of then-mine-owner Norm Dawson who owned this mine in its heyday of the 1960s-1970s. There are 6 specimens here weighing a total of 229 grams. The color is classic soft pink. The largest chunk measures 4.5 cm across.
4.8 x 2.9 x 2.5 cm. This specimen dates back to find in the 1960s at the Urucum Mine. It is a large gem crystal of morganite, with fine, sharp faces on its display side (the other side is cleaved from removal from the matrix) and pretty pink color. Some of the faces have stepped striations on them. You can also see little black crystals of schorl inside the crystal. This large gem crystal weighs 57 grams. Ex. Norm Dawson Collection.
6.4 x 4.5 x 4.2 cm. A rich stack of very light blue aquamarine crystals, all complete and with all terminations intact. They are intergrown with quartz and cleavelandite. Some of these are very complex compound crystals, with sidecars and terminations at various levels.
3.9 x 2.4 x 1.9 cm. A glass-pure gem aquamarine, flawless and complete, jutting out of a carefully trimmed "base" of matrix. The crystal measures 3.3 cm, with the part that rises above the matrix measuring 2 cm.
4.9 x 0.4 x 0.4 cm, 4.2 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm. A "matched set" of gem beryl crystals from Brazil - one a green/yellow heliodor, the other an aquamarine. Both have good terminations. Each weighs around 2 grams. Ex. Norm Dawson Collection.
4.7 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm. A naturally-etched, doubly-terminated super gem crystal of aquamarine from Brazil. The light blue color was for some reason very hard to capture in picture with this crystal; while it does have a hint of green, it is definitely more blue. The crystal is glass-clear through the interior. Natural etching has given the upper part of the crystal a pretty, silky luster, and created small "cut-glass" faces on the lower part and bottom termination. Weighs 72 grams. Ex. Norm Dawson Collection.
6.4 x 4.1 x 3.4 cm. This aquamarine crystal is actually just under 6 cm in length, and most of its bottom termination is intact and can be seen protruding from the cleavelandite at the bottom of the specimen. The crystal is very gemmy; the upper part has natural vertical striations that give it an etched look.
9.6 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm. A large, stunning compound crystal of aquamarine, multiply-terminated with terraced terminations on top, all complete -- and terminated on the bottom as well, also with terraced multiple terminations. The top and exterior are very glassy; the interior, or core, of the specimen has these ghostly phantoms. Weighs 95 grams.
2.4 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm. An intensely bright and gemmy, pristine crystal of aquamarine, Perfect termination, and complete and uncontacted all around.
5.3 x 0.8 x 0.6 cm. From the Hauck Collection, a gem crystal of aquamarine, terminated on top and damage-free, with a pretty, silky luster from natural etching. The crystal weighs 6 grams.
3.4 x 3.3 x 2.7 cm. An old-timer gem crystal of golden beryl (heliodor) from Brazil, terminated on top, and naturally healed on the bottom and a couple of contacts (which it probably got when it broke loose in the pocket), so that it is technically a doubly-terminated floater. It is very gemmy through the interior, and the top termination is nice and glassy. A sizeable and chunky crystal, weighing 60 grams.
