2.4 x 1.9 x 1.1 cm. A beautiful perfectly gemmy Aqua with an incredible medium blue color and superb luster. One termination is perfect. Combine this with the lustrous well-formed euhedral Schorls attached to the crystal, and you have an incredible and aesthetic specimen. Ex. Charlie Key stock.

6.5 x 4.3 x 4.3 cm. A lovely and very unusual Aqua from the famous Erongo Region. These doubly terminated crystals, which range up to 5.1 cm, have excellent luster on all faces and terminations and are attached to gemmy smoky quartz. What is so attractive and rare is the pastel sky-blue color. I have not seen the likes of this before, especially from Erongo. The larger crystal even has a 2 mm gemmy cap to it. A wonderful specimen in its own right, and a killer rarity for this world-renowned locality. Ex. Charlie Key stock.

8.5 x 7.7 x 5.7 cm. A gorgeous 4.8 cm Aqua on a matrix of Smoky Quartz and Schorl. The Aqua has superb luster and a fantastic .6 cm gemmy termination. Much better in person, this very much reminds me of the Aqua on the cover of the MR "Erongo" special issue. Ex. Charlie Key stock.

10.8 x 8.8 x 5.7 cm. A beautiful specimen of light blue Aquamarines is from the famous locality in China. Stacked like magazines on a rack the dozen tabular crystals are gemmy and highly lustrous, and the largest is 5.5 cm across! Associated with them are well-formed Muscovite crystals. Ex. Charlie Key stock.

11.2 x 9.1 x 5.4 cm. A group of BIG, fat aquamarine crystals on matrix, with a prominent hexagonal book of muscovite adding an accent. These crystals measure up to 2.5 cm across the termination! And ALL the terminations are complete. They are not the most gemmy crystals (though they are translucent), but have good glassy luster, and are arranged in a nice balance across the matrix. This is a sizeable cabinet specimen and very impressive in person!

13.4 x 9.4 x 6.6 cm. There are two large quartz crystals on this specimen, one of them a distinct sceptre. They are attached to a cluster of white, euhedral feldspar crystals, out of which poke two aquamarines - a small one on the front of the specimen, and a pristine gemmy one of 2 cm sticking out of the side. The relatively sharp crystals of feldspar instead of the usual blobby matrix make add distinction to this specimen.

5.6 x 1.9 x 1.6 cm. This aquamarine is absolutely WEIRD and very rare! What you have here are two terminations on the same end of the crystal! The outer one forms a sort of cap over the one underneath; there is space between the two, and you can look into this space and see the termination below. So this is not a usual "sceptre", though the etching on the rest of the crystal shows that etching played a part in forming this weird specimen.

14.9 x 9.9 x 9.1 cm. A SIGNIFICANT matrix specimen of gem aquamarine! Perfectly positioned jutting out of the muscovite blades on the display side of this specimen are two fabulous and large crystals, with another lying flat along the matrix next to them in addition to a few smaller ones. The largest of the crystals measures 2.5 cm across the termination and 4 cm in LENGTH. All three of the crystals are super gemmy, terminated, undamaged and uncontacted.

6.2 x 0.7 x 0.7 cm. A GLASSY gem aquamarine crystal, DOUBLY-TERMINATED, tiered at the top termination. Fabulous luster - this is a true gem! Weighs 6 grams.

6.4 x 4.7 x 3.9 cm. These ARE definitely BLUE aquamarines, though the camera did not pick up on the very subtle light blue color. There are 4 intergrown crystals here, all terminated (one is naturally healed). They have good luster. The largest of the crystals measures just over 3.5 cm in length. Just big and showy!

6.4 x 4.1 x 3.4 cm. A 5 cm, translucent-to-transparent aquamarine crystal rises elegantly from a matrix of muscovite and cleavelandite. The crystal has a two-tiered termination that is COMPLETE; one of these tiers has naturally healed after fracturing in the pocket. Complete all around - a really well-balanced specimen with just the right amount of matrix.

Beryl (Var: Aquamarine) from Mt Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China [db_pics/mdpics/MD-146055a.jpg]

9.5 x 7.1 x 5.6 cm. A BIG (5 cm across!), translucent-to-transparent, super-lustrous crystal of aquamarine, of tabular hexagonal form, dominates this rich aquamarine specimen. Other crystals of similar form crowd around it. There must be a dozen here. The color is a very faint blue, nearly colorless - these might be more accurately described as beryls than aquas. At any rate - a very impressive specimen showing this more uncommon form of aquamarine (though typical for China). much better than it appears, over all very 3-D, glassy, and colorful.

Beryl (Var: Emerald), Calcite from Muzo, Vasquez-Yacopí Mining District, Boyacá Department, Colombia [db_pics/mdpics/MD-146059a.jpg]

4.9 x 3.4 x 3.4 cm. These gem emeralds from Columbia are WONDERFULLY gemmy and saturated with the best green color! There are actually four crystals here - two very small, and two quite sizeable. The largest measures just over 1 cm across the termination in the "long" direction. All of the terminations are perfect and undamaged! You can see the contacts on the bottom part of the crystals, where they grew against matrix, but the tops are perfect and un-contacted. They stand out beautifully against the stark white calcite (which is a real crystal, not just lump rock!) Such associations are uncommon in a good price range, and the color here is eye-popping.

3.8 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm. A beautifully composed Pakistan miniature of a 2.5 cm, gemmy, light blue aquamarine crystal aesthetically set in the front of a mound of pearlescent muscovite sections and attended to by smaller aqua crystals. A very aesthetic specimen with no damage.

6.5 x 4.0 x 3.8 cm. A SHOWY and EXCELLENT Chinese combination specimen of gemmy and lustrous, tabular, light blue aquamarine crystals attached to sharp, gemmy and lustrous, tan, octohedral scheelite crystals from recent finds at the famous Xuebaoding Moutain of Sichuan. All of the major crystals of aqua and scheelite are complete and undamaged. SUPER white fluorescence on the scheelite.
