A fabulous arsenopyrite specimen, DOUBLY-TERMINATED (which is QUITE rare from here), with only a couple of contacts on the back and one side. Smaller arsenopyrite crystals decorate the display face, along with glimmering purple and blue little chalcopyrites. 4.1 x 3.7 x 2.1 cm
This is an enormous plate of sharp, bright, terminated arsenopyrite crystals, to about 2 cm in length and 1.8 across the termination. They are wonderfully isolated on the bladed muscovite matrix, and glitter with a metallic luster. A large and dramatic specimen! 19.8 x 15.4 x 4.7 cm
A showy CABINET specimen of vugs filled with lustrous arsenopyrite crystals to 6 mm on sparkly, needle quartz matrix from Zacatecas, Mexico. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnipeg, Canada. This piece has multiple display possibilities, as you can see. 10.5 x 8.0 x 5.9 cm
Talk about dramatic - what you see here are some perfect crystals of arsenopyrite embedded right inside the face of a quartz crystal! The quartz engulfed the arsenos as it grew. Minor accenting chalcopyrite adds rainbow color. The big quartz crystal is complete, the smaller one is partial. 11 x 10.7 x 9 cm
A dome-shaped specimen consisting almost exclusively of superb, shiny-metallic arsenopyrite crystals -- large ones, with a central anchor crystal measuring 4.5 cm across! The crystals have fine form and pretty sawtooth edges. 5.9 x 5.5 x 4.2 cm
A striking combination piece with most major minerals from the locality well-represented. Each contrasts nicely with the colors of the other, and each is lustrous as well. The overall effect on this large specimen is to create a really impressive combination specimen , quite uncommon for this now-defunct locality. 10.7 x 9.5 x 4.1 cm
Big, sharp, shiny arsenopyrite crystals, with quartz points growing amongst them - a rich specimen from the Yaogangxian. 8 x 6.2 x 4.2 cm
A beautiful 2.5-cm crystal of arsenopyrite, shimmering with thousands of tiny stepped microfaces, is centered in a bed of green muscovite, decorated with brassy chalcopyrites. 7.6 x 7.3 x 5.5 cm
A large, wonderfully-formed compound crystal of arsenopyrite, with a gleaming metallic luster and ornate architectural forms. 7.0 x 5.7 x 2.8cm
SUPER shiny-metallic, large crystals of arsenopyrite (to 2 cm), very sharply formed! 5.7 x 4.2 x 2.2cm
A big, rich plate of super-shiny, striated arsenopyrite crystals, measuring to over 2 cm across, accented with green muscovite. VERY flashy! 10.1 x 6.6 x 2.1cm
A big, beautiful smorgasbord of Yaogangxian minerals! In person, this whopper specimen just glitters with brassy gold and red from the chalcopyrites, lavender touches here and there from fluorite, and silvery arsenopyrites scattered amongst the quartz points! 20.8 x 13.2 x 8.4cm
Another pretty Yaogangxian combo specimen, combining shiny arsenopyrite crystals with quartz, sparing muscovite and a single purple fluorite cube. BETTER IN PERSON! 7.0 x 6.2 x 3.4cm
A whopper version of another specimen in this auction . . . HUGE milky quartz crystals, to 10 cm in length, with big, shiny arsenopyrites (to 5 cm) and touches of purple fluorite here and there. A big, flashy specimen! BETTER IN PERSON! 17.8 x 14.6 x 8.0cm
HUGE, gemmy, light teal-blue fluorite crystals (to 3.5 cm on edge!), ranged along the top of a cluster of quartz, with minor accenting arsenopyrite crystals. There is a very minor bit of wear, but almost unnoticeable relative to the size of the specimen. These big crystals are so gemmy that you can see the matrix very clearly right through them! This large and impressive specimen can be displayed perhaps even more beautifully upright, with the biggest crystals at the top. 12.7 x 9.2 x 7.1cm
