1.2 x 1.2 x 1.0 cm. Here is a wonderful thumbnail size specimen of the famous pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite from Corocoro. These floater specimens are well known from Bolivia for their great form and color, and this piece has the classic and unique form that has made these pieces some of the most well known and highly sought after pseudomorphs around. Here we have a beautiful little specimen of the highly sought after "disco ball" habit pieces, which only are found in about 5% of the specimens from Corocoro. This specimen is a very fine example of this material. There hasn't been any significant amount of these specimens on the market in approximately 25 years, and they are often only found in old collections.
9.8 x 8.3 x 5.9 cm. A plate of bubbly aragonite, rising in stalactitic forms, of a pretty light blue from copper content. Looks almost like coral - and actually, from a chemical perspective, not much different!
7 x 7 x 7 cm. This specimen is completely crystallized 360-degrees all around, with calcite having completely replaced large, elongated tarnowitzite crystals! Ex. Sussman Collection.
4 x 3.75 x 3.25 cm. A dolomite pseudomorph after aragonite. Ex. Marshall Sussman Collection.
4 x 3.5 x 3 cm. An amazing pseudomorph and a very unusual Tsumeb specimen, from a small pocket. It is complete 360-degrees and undamaged all around! The color is a bright pink, and it has a sparkly lustre. Ex. Sussman Collection.
20 x 16 x 8 cm. This specimen consists of sharp crystals of tarnowitzite to 6 inches (15cm) that have been completely replaced by smithsonite on which is another layer of sparkling, glistening white smithsonite! Ex. Sussman and Dr. Georg Gebhard Collections.
8.1 x 8 x 6.1 cm. A pastel-green, hedgehog-like spray of this rare aragonite varietal! Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
11.6 x 9.7 x 8.1 cm. A pastel-green, hedgehog-like spray of this rare aragonite varietal! Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
18.4 x 12.2 x 6.5 cm. A huge knot of lustrous, snowy-white tarnowitzite clusters. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
8.1 x 4.5 cm. This is a fine example of this zinc-rich aragonite varietal. It is complete all around and has rich yellowish color that is seldom seen. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
5.2 x 3.4 cm. This is a fine example of this zinc-rich aragonite varietal. It is complete all around and has rich yellowish color (internally, anyhow) that is seldom seen. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
4.5 x 3.5 x 1.2 cm. An attractive and unusual specimen in which the Aragonite is turned blue by the Chalcantite inclusions. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
7.7 x 6 x 3.4 cm. Well-formed clusters of intergrown aragonite crystals with excellent luster. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
9.8 x 4.6 x 2.1 cm. Chalcanthite overgrown and intermixed with Aragonite, from Tsumeb. Note how thick the growth is, that this is not a crust but rather many generations of layering one atop the other making for a thick specimen. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
Thumbnail. A doubly terminated tarnowitzite crystal accented with malachite. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
