A HEAVY, THICK, blocky crystal of gorgeous, yellow anglesite! Minor edge wear, hence a cheap price

Gemmy, glassy, colorless, spear-like crystals to 1.0 cm in length, are surprisingly rich on this specimen. If not for the weight of the piece, you might at first guess calcite or smithsonite but not anglesite, which is so rare from Tsumeb! But they are indeed anglesite, flanked and surrounded by botryoidal spheres, to .2 cm across, of a dark gray to black, mineral, possibly one of the manganese oxides. Unusual!

A very unusual WHITE anglesite from the mine famous for the yellow variety. Go figure?! This is just as old and harder to find, actually. This piece is particularly aesthetic as the matrix contrast is so nice. The anglesite cluster itself measures 3 cm and is complete all around, much gemmier in person!

A significantly rich specimen just LOADED with more of this rare species than you normally would ever expect to see in one place! AND, its a beautiful, display-quality miniature besides. And green...Who could want more in an obscure rarity!?

This historic specimen is from the 11 level of the Bunker Hill, which had long ago been mined out by the early 1900s but was still accessible to collectors who knew their way around when this mine itself was accessible (now , it is a Superfund toxic waste site, sadly). A local collector went in and found this, he related, in the 1960s. It is one of the most important, most robust anglesite clusters I am familiar with seeing from this location. It is also displayable, pristine, and in its own blocky way is kind of pretty.

A true killer in every sense. This is, for the rarity and style, and the aesthetics and quality, my favorite piec eof the collection. It is a GEMMY, transparent, nearly pristine crysatl of anglesite - this is very rare from Tsumeb, actually, particularly in good crystals. I have never seen one so gemmy and so perfect, and it is on matrix as well so you couldn't ask for more! 3-D, complete 360 degrees...

This specimen is the only one i have seen of its type. However, upon investigation, I found that approximately 100 specimens were collected in the late 1960s and Reno dealer Jack Crowley dispersed them at the time. Jack has told me that this would be a very good one from the find, and that it remains a one-pocket occurrence. It is a fascinating pseudomorph from a locality near the famous Bunker Hill Mine that seems to have produced only a few oddities like this and no display-quality pyromorphite in and of itself, comapred to its neighbor

This unususal specimen has always been one that caught my eye in Jack's collection. It is simply unique in my experience. The piece has, superficially, teh yellow color one would normally associate with Moroccan anglesite of modern days. However, the matrix (sulfide-rich) and the copper mineralization atop (probably posnjackite and/or langite) simply scream "Tsumeb!". Rare, unusual, and pretty....as so many of Jack's pieces are.

A striking 3.3 cm GEMMY Anglesite with superb luster and great 'brightness'. It is really like glass. Top-notch Anglesites from the famous locality of Touissit are hard to find, and this is one of the better miniatures I have seen in awhile. These were probably mined in the late 1960s or through the 1970s. Certainly, not recent. this is complete all around. The termination id "decorated" with little outgrowths and some slightly greenish mineralization, not unattractive.

Good Anglesites are hard to find today as most came out in the 1980s or earlier; and so this 2+ cm crystal is well worth taking a hard look at. This crystal has a fine lemon-yellow color, excellent luster, and a gemmy termination edge. The back surface is somewhat contacted, which is of little consequence; and the small included Galenas near the tip add even more visual interest to the specimen.

A very attractive, pristine, glassy cluster of gem anglesite crystals with straw-yellow color. This was probably found in the 1970s. For the size and price range, this is just a hellluva deal for the quality you get...most are included , opaque, and hardly so aesthetic unless you spend many thousands of dollars.

A dramatic, phantomed, gemmy crystal of anglesite from finds of the 1960s, seldom seen today! It has an internal fracture, but is not broken and repaired. The sharp phantoming, the 3-dimensional chisel-like termination, and the superior gemminess make this a significatn large crystal for the finds. 7.2 x 5.5 x 2.9 cm

11.3 x 9.5 x 8.3 cm. INCREDIBLY gemmy and lustrous, large anglesite crystals aesthetically fill a vug in CABINET-SIZED massive galena matrix on this IMPRESSIVE specimen from Touissit, Morocco. These huge crystals, to 4.7, range from water-clear to milky to yellow. It would have been collected in the early 1980s or late 70s.
