A small piece but truly oustanding for the finely crystallized alamosite on matrix of finely crysatllized leadhillite, and for the richeness and near-record size of the melanotekite! The overall combination is a relative value in that you get three very rare minerals, in excellent crystals, altogether - and in a displayable specimen, no less!

Superb, translucent, lathelike crystals of alamosite make the bulk of this specimen, which is a major thumbnail example of the species and, aside from a few freak specimens, is of a pretty good quality as well. The black specks are melanotekite, though there may also be other minerals in association here which I am not identifying. Alamosite in good crystals is one of the more uncommon of Tsumeb rarities, and seldom seen for sale (at any price, but usually very high, when priced).
