9.9 x 4.4 x 2.6 cm. An extremely fine and aesthetic specimen from the Mina Ojuela of two parallel bands of discrete botryoidal aggregates of glassy, yellow-green adamite prisms on starkly contrasting gossan matrix. Seldom do you isolated adamite crystals clusters, such as this, from Mina Ojuela. Ex. Consie Prince Collection.

7.5 x 7.0 x 5.0 cm. Scintillating, gemmy, sea-green cuprian adamite crystals in rounded aggregates beautifully line the vug in the sculptural crust of sturdy gossan matrix in this very aesthetic specimen from the 2008 finds at the Mina Ojuela. Classic, very high quality cuprian adamite with excellent color from this noted locale. This is one of the prettier large plates of this material from the find. Ex. Brent Lockhart Collection.

Adamite (Var: Cuprian Adamite) from Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico [db_pics/mdpics/MD-282529b.jpg]

4.4 x 4.1 x 2.3 cm. This mine is very well known for it's Adamite specimens, but some of the most highly sought after specimens of the Cuprian variety of Adamite are found here. This piece features an attractive sharp, lustrous, translucent, bright green-blue color "pinwheel"-shaped crystal group of Cuprian Adamite measuring 8 mm across sitting on Limonite matrix. These specimens are not nearly as readily available as they once were, and they are truly some of the most significant Adamite specimens extant.

3.6 x 3.1 x 2.2 cm. An exquisite cluster of gemmy and lustrous purple (manganoan) adamite crystals is aesthetically perched atop the toenail-sized gossan matrix. The pristine crystals are at the top of the piece. This piece is from the one-time find in 1981 and is highly representative for this very desirable manganoan-adamite species (erroneously once though to be cobaltoan).

14.5 x 10.9 x 5.1 cm. A very rare cabinet piece from the 1981 finds. This is a striking, large and rich, cabinet specimen from the Mina Ojuela. This dramatic specimen is festooned with glassy, purple adamite crystals to 7 mm on a sculptural, sturdy, gossan matrix plate. There are even three green, adamite balls scattered about as a nice accent. Lustrous goethite balls richly cover the backside of this two-sided specimen. This piece is from the one-time find in 1981 and is a superb, large and important representative for this very desirable manganoan-adamite species (erroneously once thought to be cobaltoan). Ex. Consie Prince Collection.

Brilliant, neon green spheres of cuprian adamite make these Greek adamites among the prettiest of species for sheer color! Rare in such richness and particularly nice because of the contrast to the smithsonite druse underneath. 7.2 x 5.3 x 3.2 cm

Adamites in general are pretty terrific, but the holy grail of the species is definitely the purple varietal, which are so very rare. These were found just once, around 1984 if i recall. This incredible crystal is gemmy, has fine color, and has three perfect crystal faces as well as the termination. If you look carefully at the pics, you will notice that what seems like fuzziness is really some unbelievable double refraction within this gemmy crystal. Super large crystal! 3 x 1.5 x 1 cm

Gorgeous, sherbert-green, super lustrous, spherical clusters of adamite contrast nicely with a matrix of white aragonite. The largest sphere is 1.5 cm across. The crystals actually glow as if they were radioactive , with neon color! This small pocket found a few years ago is just awesome, and unique for the species. This is one of the best miniatures, I am sure. 4.5 x 3.1 x 2.6 cm
