A really neat pale blue-green aquamarine crystal, perched in matrix, from old Germany (likely early to mid 1800s). The crystal is 5 cm long and is complete, with only very minor edge wear

Sharp crystals with a good yellow color,to 9 mm in size, make this a rare locality and an important rarity piece. Note label dated 1835 PREDATES the identification of stolzite, which was actually discovered on material from this locality mislabelled as scheelite or wulfenite. While both occur here, this elongated habit is indicative of the stolzite, and the timing is right as the material was collected at this time. In 1845, stolzite was recognized as a species and remains the only species first identified from this very prolific locality.

A very old specimen from this classic pegmatite locality, with lustrous, long schorl crystals to 4 cm, perched on feldspar and muscovite matrix. Although many of the schorls are damaged or missing terminations, some are intact...and in any case its overall an impressively large display specimen for the locality, all things considered.

A very bizarre specimen composed of lightweight, vuggy matrix which has several pockets of velvety mlachite. On the malachite are perched acicular crystals, hair-thin, of cerussite! The label gives the exact locality, and dates the piece to 1873.

An attractive large specimen with fat white quartz, draped upon by dolonite, in which sharp 1-cm arsenopyrite crystals are perched and peek through. Neat combo from an old locale.

This is a GORGEOUS specimen where every one of the three species, sparkles brightly. The contrast, with the quartz vein winding over the sphalerite, and accented by golden siderite, is striking. This large specimen is nearly pristine except for only a few very trivial bits of wear, and is a a choice example of this assemblage from a classic old locality. But you rarely see the combination so well presented. Beautiful - better in person!

A very impressive manganite specimen from this classic locality of the late 1800s, with sharp, lustrous, fat crystals to 3.5 cm in length (largest one). It is a handsized piece, very showy, and with good lustre - all at I think an excellent price for an 1800s-era manganite of this quality level. In person, the 3-dimensionality comes out much better

A sharp 6mm proustite crystal glows gem red when backlit, and other clusters of smaller crystals are present as well on a calcite matrix. Classic old material, and a rare piece with surviving documentation marking it as Andreasberg (though the calcite is also indicative). Label is dated 1831 !

Unusual, elongated calcites of a style uncommon for this locality. Some crystals are damaged, but most are intact. Unusual, interesting habit, for not a lot of money for what these tend to go for.

A GORGEOUS SPECIMEN with intense, maroon-red crystals of erythrite in a protected vug in the ore matrix. This old find, from the mid-1800s and maybe earlier, has always set the standard for the species for sheer color and lustre. These crystals, to 7 mm, exemplify the best of those qualities. Additionally this piece has a nice significance as it is from the type locality for the species.

An unusually colored green-blue eryl from this classic deposit, measuring 1.7 cm in length. I love the old label!

A super specimen for the locality primarily because it shows such a wonderful association of all the minerals found here, and it is PRETTY to boot. I have never seen such a nice combo piece for sale of minerals from this locality, for overall visual impact. The whole mineralogical environment is here...from the primary galena on the left, to its secondary oxidation products: a pocket of pyro and cerussite in the middle where phosphate must have been present; and stranger and more rare chemistry occurring in the next oxidation layer over to the right, with flat-laying leadhillite (and probably susannite as well) having formed from some of the minerals present in the galena ore on that side. Historic, and I think important.

A large, showy, very colorful cluster of cubic fluorites to 4 cm in size, from a very old locale. I have chosen not to clean this piece but with water, leaving the "old look" to it rather than making it bright and shiny - but the brown pocket clay and staiing would come off, if desired.

A hefty, handsized specimen of nearly solid manganite with accent of calcite for contrast, fesaturing super lustrous crystals to nearly 2 cm. This is a classic old Ilfeld specimen from its heyday in the late 1800s, and a beautiful and displayable specimen at an affordable price for such a classic, I feel.
