TANZFL-13
Fluorite
Quan Zhou city, Yong Chun County, Fujian Province, China
Miniature, 3.7 x 3.6 x 1.9 cm
SOLD
Found in early 2017, these "tanzanite fluorite" crystals as the Chinese called them, rarely got to this size. (Note the name is to denote the coloring of the fluorite and not an actual combination of the two species here.) This large single crystal has the deep color, high luster, and sharp modifications that will make this pocket memorable. The front display is like looking into a grape juice colored TV box. It is somewhat flat on back, which is where it grew attached to matrix and a small bit of matrix remains (it is not broken, in other words, but as complete all around as any I have seen this size!)
