Calcite

Resembling a hook or perhaps an animal face, this remarkable water-formed calcite crystal is lustrous and gemmy, and totally pure and colorless. It is not a cave growth stalactite, but rather a true crystal, with real faces and a termination, formed in solution surely (rather than the way stalactites form later, slowly, as water drips down into a hole in these karst deposits in limestone in Southern China). A wonderful, bizarre, calcite! Comes with a custom lucite base for display.
