A rolling carpet of the most intense and saturated green you can ask for in smithsonite coats this well-trimmed matrix of host rock from Tsumeb. The color is phenomenal, and since the coating is thin around the edges and the matrix behind was removed, it is also quite translucent at the periphery. For the size and aesthetics, this is very hard to find on the market. It probably came out in the heyday for these of the late 1970s or early 1980s. While pockets vary, and many were found, this particular color combined with a nice luster is very rare. Photo by Joe Budd. Comes with a custom lucite base.
