Extremely rare, naturally colored gold like this has a wonderful, subtle patina that makes it stand out from most other gold specimens that are over-cleaned by man or by nature, to be simply bright and golden. I purchased this at the Munich show and the belief was from those who know more than I, that it came from the Roata Mine in Cavnic, though I cannot say the mine attribution with 100 percent certainty.
