A very special combination specimen of tourmaline and smoky quartz from the famous Pederneira Mine. Gemmy and lustrous, pretty teal-blue indicolite tourmalines are embedded on and in a surreal, water-clear, doubly terminated, flattened, spearpoint smoky quartz crystal with striking bevel edges. The luster of the quartz is simply phenomenal. The long pencil on the lower right is 4.9 cm and the upper termination is pristine. The tourmaline at the tip is 3.1cm and has a pristine termination. The fat indicolite on the left side is 2.5 cm and the frontal termination is pristine. The termination on the tourmaline below the pencil is very gently bruised, but is not noticeable in the display view. Incredibly, the floater smoky is complete all-around and is essentially pristine, with only infinitesimal edge wear. Unique in my experience with the Pederneira. ex William Larson collection. Comes with custom lucite base.
