A classic and important combination piece from the historic mines at Annaberg - from which saved specimens are much more hard to obtain than from the Freiberg District nearby. The matrix is Baryte, and there is a pocket of hexagonal blades of Polybasite right in the middle. The Polybasite crystals are coated with Silver, which in turn have a fine microcoating of Argentite. You don't often see a combination like this! This is originally out of the John Pearse and Harvard Museum collections. John B. Pearse
