It can safely be said now that the Milpillas Mine has produced the best brochantites the world has ever seen. This particular style, with large crystals nestled by metallic, needle-like secondary crystals, is my personal favorite. They are simply "pretty" as well as significant and I think the photos speak to that. This is a very large and actually robust matrix specimen from a deposit which yielded few of this style for the species. The matrix is sturdy and unlike most larger brochantite specimens from this particular pocket (or group of pockets) which came out as floater clusters with a high degree of fragility, it can be safely handled, displayed, and mailed without worrying about the fragility. From 2015 finds.
