Sphalerite is one of the few sulfide ore minerals that can be gemmy enough to be cut into gemstones. This one could be! The colors range from red to orange to yellow. This particular sphalerite specimen on white quartz features two glassy and gemmy, orangey-yellow crystals, to 2 cm across. Just beautiful!
