A stark, dramatic, "leaf" of gold stands straight up atop a twisting branch of gold, on a matrix of intergrown microcrystalline and massive gold. This is a classic old Grass Valley District style, like you see in old exhibits at the Smithsonian and Carnegie museums. The piece is 360 degrees, complete all around. It is a superb, toenail sized example of a rare California, USA style. Most of the specimens will be broken off matrix, whereas this displays so nicely! Ex.
