Elbaite Tourmaline
Rocket Pocket, Pederneira Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Cabinet, 13.3 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm
SOLD

A spear-like, glassy and gemmy, rich apple green, elbaite, this is from the famous "Rocket Pocket" - known for its sharp temrinations and GEMMY, brilliant internal colors. It is more 3-dimensional in person than it appears, and has two terminations plus a side car. The elbaite appears pristine save for very trivial contact/damage to the termination of the slender sidecar crystal. This is a major elbaite from the famous "Rocket Pocket" at the Pederneira Mine, now mined almost a decade ago (early 2000s). It has only one very clean repair that is hard to see, whereas most have several repairs in a crystal of this size. The mass is 71 grams. Comes with custom lucite base.
