Pink grossulars are exceptionally rare, particularly in large and isolated crystals such as this! Emplaced aesthetically on a matrix of massive, white albite is a single, glassy and gemmy, doubly terminated, lovely pink grossular crystal measuring 1.2 cm across. Very reminiscent of the nearby Jeffrey Mine grossulars. Purchased from a dealer in Tucson about a decade ago, Hawthorneden if I recall. This is old material, and seldom seen for sale.
