This lustrous, super-sharp Rutile crystal is dramatically perched on matrix of crystallized Quartz. The 1.9 cm Rutile has an excellent and attractive habit, with mirror-like faces. The very minor edgewear has no bearing on the fine aesthetics, and the presentation side is complete (it is just contacted a bit in the back). These came out in the late 1990s in one small batch, and are now rarely available. Surely they must be the best find for the species since Graves Mountain's heyday.
