A MAJOR specimen for the mine with incredible quality and condition for a piece of such size and exposure to the elements...Doubly terminated and twinned, this premium Calcite specimen, beautifully perched atop bluish-purple Fluorite, measures an amazing 18 cm in length. One termination is single and super GEMMY while the other termination actually splays into three different crystals. Quite impressive. The Calcite is lustrous and gemmy to translucent with a rich amber color. The fluorescence of the Fluorite reveals a remarkable zoning pattern. Twinned Calcite crystals are not common from the Illinois-Kentucky Fluorite district. Mined in 1990. RCL0773
