Afghanistan Spessartine specimens are rare compared to the much more prolific Pakistan localities. This lustrous and translucent miniature is a reddish-orange, modified dodecahedron that is 1.8 cm across. The Spessartine sits perfectly on a Feldspar crystal, and there are tiny, euhedral white Goshenites on the Feldspar that add greatly to the mineral interest. The Spessartine is contacted on the back, but it has little effect on the presentation. Very good balance and aesthetics.
