Ex. Dr. Mark Feinglos
SOLD
A SUPERB and rich miniature specimen of this RARE lead gold tellurium antimony sulfide (sulfosalt) species from the type locality at Nagyag (now Sacarimb), Romania. The piece has a profuse amount of excellent, elongate, platy gray-blue nagyagite crystals attractively distributed on tiny quartz crystals and druses that nicely compliment the complex sulfosalt. This is an old specimen with an experienced, vintage label in ink along with a detailed catalog card from the Ignacio Gaspar Sintes collection, and Excalibur Minerals label as well as a pair of labels from the Mark Feinglos collection. One Feinglos label indicates altaite and bournonite are present on the specimen. The Sintes label denotes this as well along with sphalerite, rhodochrosite, pyrite and galena! Notably, the piece is unetched by acid and in its natural state.
