Mimetites have been one of the more famous species from the great mine of Tsumeb, and they have ranged from gemmy hexagonal barrels to large and lustrous 'rice grains'. This specimen hosts gorgeous, flowery clusters of the rice grain Mimetites, some of which range up to 9 mm, gracefully curving and covering much of the matrix. An added bonus are the hundreds upon hundreds of slender and gemmy elongated mimetite crystals that populate the matrix beneath the cauliflower-like growths atop. It is a very unique piece in overall appearance, to me, and is quite attractive in person. It is 3-dimensional and aesthetic. SUPER SPARKLY, this stands out from most!
