Cubanite from this small mine is considered, by far, to be the world's best. This plate has SIX crystals on it, three of which are classic, tabular twins, and three which are more equant. The largest of the twins is 1.2 cm across, which is substantial for a Cubanite. The color is brassy, and the luster very good. The twinning shows up very well, and even better in person where you can totally appreciate the details and subtleties. This piece has great aesthetics, and to have six Cubanite crystals on one specimen is virtually unheard of. This is a significant specimen, of importance for both the species and locality.
