A good, representative combination piece from the famous Panasqueira Mine in Portugal. The striated, highly lustrous, black Ferberite is at least 6 cm long. The Ferberite crystal is liberally covered on top and on one side by hundreds of shimmery, tan Siderite crystals in hexagonal discs, which add pizzazz to this fine specimen. In some areas, the Siderites stack to look almost floral, but the dominant look is more like perfectly arranged scales. Subhedral, lustrous Arsenopyrite crystals, intermixed with a smaller amount of Chalcopyrite, add to the aesthetics and mineralogical interest.
