Another truly unique specimen from the Lillie collection: A layer of splendent, bright galena crystals to 5 mm across, took the form of a cast after fluorite from one generation of growth. Somehow, still, it is perched ATOP fluorite that never went away and never decayed despite the replacement cast perched atop. So, underneath the surreal reaching galena cast are lustrous and translucent, purple-colored fluorite crystals which exhibit a dramatic stepped growth. Mined in 1993 from the Bahama pod. RCL1749. Unique and more 3-dimensional in person!
