Glassy and gemmy, color-zoned fluorite crystals to 5 cm across are intimately associated with a few, lustrous, black crystals of sphalerite, to 3.5 cm across. This is a superb combination piece, and rarely seen in that large sphalerites seldom occur here with the fluorites (much less intergrown). The fluorite crystals SHARP and fine edges, with incipient stepped growth on some. They are endowed with rich amber yellow colored cores and vivid purple edges. This specimen came from pillar robbing at the cross cut ore body in 1992 and was highly thought of by Ross Lillie in his collection. RCL 1720.
