A large, GEMMY, single crystal of Wulfenite from Tsumeb. Wulfenites from here are rare, and are always in great demand. This clove-brown crystal is gemmy and has terrific luster - a classic style from the mine from 1970s production. Where you see through it, there is almost a yellow fire that adds even more to the near-metallic luster. You can see why these are so sought after. As with most Wulfenites of this size that are freestanding, there is minor edge wear: but the rarity, luster, and aesthetics more than compensate for that. This is a robust, rare single crystal of the most classic style associated with Tsumeb.
