This specimen has a thick, richly colored, deep orange crystal, a 1.6 cm Hessonite, perched on matrix. The striations on the faces are classic and greatly add to the appeal of these fine crystals. Some very minor edge wear, but to be expected from this hard-rock mining. A very good Garnet thumbnail from any locale, but especially for this find. Better in person!
