Exceptionally lustrous purple and yellow Fluorite from Minerva. The yellow Fluorite comprises the first generation, and in some cases the crystal faces are exposed, but mostly it is overgrown by the deep purple Fluorite. The luster is OUTSTANDING and super-glassy on the purple Fluorite overlayer, and the largest crystal reaches up to 3.8 cm. From the 'Crosscut' orebody and collected in 1991, this is an aesthetic, first-class Illinois Fluorite of a very rare style - there were few in the collection with such saturation and luster.
