The ultimate in Illinois Fluorites are those specimens that have the three "keys to the Illinois Fluorite kingdom": phantom zoning, gemminess, and smooth, lustrous faces. When you have them all, such as here, the specimens can be eye-popping and without need for much description. The visual superlatives speak for themselves. Here, the largest crystal is 2.2 cm, and wonderfully zoned. It has fantastic luster, of the top percentile from this region. However, there is a small bit of edgewear in the lower-left of the leftmost of two major crystals, and this detracts from value when seen up close. Still, it is so sharp and beautiful, this was worth featuring as an example in this first teaser update.
