NOT just another pointy calcite. This is a lovely, hedgehog cluster of intensely golden-orange Calcite scalenohedrons covering a portion of a large 7 cm Fluorite crystal. The Calcites have a silky luster and are actually quite gemmy. They rather remind me of the famous Swedish Calcites from Malmberget, in color. The largest crystal here is about 2.8 cm, and most of them are in mint condition, with only a few tips cleaved, and negligibly at that. A very good, aesthetic cabinet specimen that is complete all around, and just stands out dramatically in a crowd. The color saturation and hue is not the common yellow or amber color. It is intense and more of a unique yellow-orange color that simply has to be seen to be believed. Mined in 1993.
